I honestly don't understand how this place is so busy, and has such a good rating. First, it was 20 minutes before someone came to our table to order drinks. In fact, maybe it was because we aren't local, the waiter served 3 tables that sat down after us before even looking our way. Once we ordered, (within 5 minutes of the 2 tables beside us), we waited for our single appetizer (of fresh burrata and anchovies) for another 25 minutes. This dish doesn't require any cooking as it is served fresh. I wouldn't mind had the other tables not all gotten their food, eaten, and finished their mains before we got our appetizer. We finally got our appetizer - which never came with the promised bread. So we sat there eating soft cheese and anchovies with a fork, since after another 5 minutes we couldnt wave down a waiter. It was pretty gross I won't lie. When the waiter finally came he told us it was supposed to have bread and didn't even apologize, just said he'd get our pizzas. At this point, we had been in the restaurant 1hour and 10 minutes. The other tables that sat down after us had already left. When our pizzas arrived they were very pretty and well made. The flavour was mediocre. Both were specialties (1 was an award winning pizza and the other was their house special of the month). Both my husband and I were underwhelmed by our nearly hour and fifteen minute wait for pizza and soft cheese. On the bright side, nobody came to our table anymore after that, so at least we couldn't be disappointed by dessert as well. When we finished eating we couldn't wait to leave this place, but I had to use the bathroom. Lucky for me I waited 15 minutes in a line of women because this 300 seat restaurant only had 1 working stall available. The toilet was cracked, broken, and could only flush from the large flush - the small one wasn't working, I guess wasting water and food are a specialty here. I honestly would give it a 1 star across the board if the restaurant hadn't had such a cute patio and if the pizza crust had not had a really nice texture. Worst experience in...
Read moreExtremely unfriendly ! 80% of the restaurant was empty at 19:30 .. they ask if we have a reservation!?.. we had to deny and they said .. nope, no seat .. bye and turned around !!.. complete fail this restaurant!!!!
Add on after the Restaurant replied after three years to this comment! Finally ) ;)))) I( I can't stop laughing about that) Well, first of all it shows how little you care about clients, secondly it was not only the problem, that you had no table free for walk -n clients, but HOW you rejected us. Very unfriendly and rude. But now after living five years I I see why..Italians unfortnualy NEVER learned what SERVICE means...it's in their culture..or better...there is a lot missing in that culture! An example when you you sell something on Subito or FB marketplace...People here never approach you with a " hello, good morning, I am interested into your item...bla bla, and thx. No instead , there is just a very rude short message like: Is it still available or, what is your latest price? Where is the good old, civilized Rome ?Ah, I forgot..it went down by corruption and arrogance .. dolce vita in bella Italia ...mamma mia...What a drama this...
Read moreAs a Pizza lover, I have almost nothing to say about the pizza itself, it was incredible, wouldrate it as 9.2/10, I took Salsiccia e funghi, although when I asked for Cipolla di Tropea, they didn't have any, instead they put fried yellow onions on the pizza(a move I didn't appreciate).
The staff looked like that they were overwhelmed and a bit unpatient, and one of the pizzaioli(pizza makers) was unprofessional by making a pass at my partner by sending one of the waiters to tell her that he found her attractive(not knowing that she was my partner, which does not in fact give him the choice to do it in my opinion, making him pretty unprofessional). However, The restaurant was incredibly crowded and loud, it was difficult to maintain conversations without shouting.
In conclusion, price is a teeny bit expensive, need more professionalism and be more welcoming, a crunchier crust and this would be the place to go to for a...
