Ristorante Ci Voleva.Mo — Restaurant in Modena

I do not speak Italian, and the staff did not speak English. This was not an issue in other restaurants, but here, there was a miscommunication or confusion during ordering. When the food was brought out, it was not what I had ordered. I let the waitress know, and she immediately became hostile and started slamming things on the counter behind our table. She also avoided the table for the rest of service and would not look our way. I became extremely uncomfortable and no longer felt welcome. This place could of been way better.. I understand it’s Sunday but over an hour wait for plate of pasta is absurd and just not acceptable.. they simply ignored us for about 15 minutes then occasionally peeped over at us before they actually took an order seconds later came back with wine I did not ask for and just left it there. After 10 minutes I got up n told them I did not order it and she realized it belonged to table behind us.

Really unpleasant experience and unfortunate as i could have picked a better place to eat for the price...

We went to this place on the recommendation of a local and it was exceptional. Maybe the best pizza we had in Italy. The “Modena” style pizza was amazing. The wine was also great. Pasta was also top notch. Service was excellent. The wait staff did not speak English and did not attempt to do so, but that is what I expect in Italy at a local restaurant.
