Carmen is the absolute best. We fell in love with Palosanto our first night in Monopoli. Every single night we came back. We started with spritzes then moved onto espresso martinis (and a dirty martini - very good). However, the espresso martini was literally the best espresso martini I’ve ever had. I’m not joking. Siamo stati a Monopoli per qualche giorno e questo posto è diventato l'appuntamento fisso alla sera, personale gentile e cocktail fatti con amore e passione, e si sente. Il giorno della nostra partenza siamo andati a fare un saluto ma purtroppo non c'erano le persone che avevamo conosciuto. Abbiamo ordinato comunque le stesse cose della sera prima tra cui un margarita e un eccentrico spritz. Il margarita era davvero tutto tranne che un margarita, niente a che vedere con quello che avevamo bevuto i giorni precedenti in quel posto. Arrivato il momento di andare, chiediamo il conto, un po' delusi, e sentiamo un rimprovero davvero fuori luogo dalla ragazza che era dentro e che ci ha preparato i drink verso la ragazza che ci aveva servito, perché a quanto pare, non poteva portarci il conto al tavolo. Arrivati in cassa, un po' straniti, la ragazza che urlava contro la nostra cameriera alla fine ha trattato un po' maluccio anche noi rispondendo male a qualsiasi cosa dicevamo, tra l'altro abbiamo preso le stesse cose della sera prima e come per magia qualche ora dopo i prezzi erano lievitati!
