The visit wasn’t pleasant and the reason for that was the behaviour of the waiter. Firstly, we ordered two-non alcoholic beers. It was crucial for mine to be non-alcoholic (like 0,0%) as I am pregnant. The beer was served and thanks god, my husband firstly have tried it and told me non to drink it as the served beverage was normal alcoholic beer. We told the waiter to exchange just one (mine) beer for non-alcoholic and told him that I am pregnant so serving me alcoholic beer it a real issue. And what he responded… „congaratulations”… instead of expected „I am terrible sorry”. Then he served me with non alcoholic beer but 0,5% not 0,0% Peroni (as ordered). As to the food - it was good, not spectacular but really fine (pinsa and salad). Then my husband asked for a bill and we waited for it around 15 minutes (the waiter was completely non interested in bringing it). Finally we asked for a bill another person (I think the owner). Unfortunately, the bill included both non alcoholic beer and wrongly served by the waiter alcoholic beer (we had to check it on the bill and point it out). After such a faux pas that could impact my baby health you would expect that the bill would be correct but it seems I have too high expectations… At the end of the visit I was only pissed off - it is not what I would expect from the decent please for a dinner. I do not...
Read moreOrdered a margherita pinse, orecchiette with ragu, and cacio e pepe. The pinse was worse than a frozen pizza. Sauce was bland, cheese was not fresh, bread was well cooked. Ragu was acidic but meat was flavorful. Cacio e pepe was strange with a lime zest that ruined the flavor of what was otherwise a well executed dish. Wine is ok, aperol is on par. Spend your money elsewhere. The convenient reservations are not worth the disappointment that dinner will bring.
Updated to reply to response: Thank you for the information. Would recommend the cacio e pepe polpette. But I stand firm on the rest of the review. The pinse dough was great. The disappointing elements were the mozzarella and tomato. We spent a week and a half in country and had better pizza/pinse at...
Read moreVisited with daughter #1 one evening when we were milling around Monopoli. Everywhere was smashed busy, perhaps tellingly this place wasn't.... Loud banging techno playing, put me off right away (this isn't a night club for heaven's sake), but daughter was hungry so we sat. Service was good, friendly and swift, no complaints there. But the pizzas were so poor. So poor. One of the worst pizzas I've ever had...ever....and for this to be served up in Italy is criminal quite frankly. Just a bread looking like a garlic bread. No real taste, minimal toppings as to be almost invisible. And not the cheapest. I recall around 13 euros each pizza, which again was no more than a glorified garlic bread. Very disappointing. And I'm very surprised this place gets such...
