I do not recommend this place. Me and my friend asked for one table for 5 people (at that time 3 of us were on shopping). After a couple of minutes we finally got 2 tables. The view was amazing, so I was very happy that we had a nice spot. We ordered 2 coffees, and then another waiter came over asking us if we are ready to eat something. I ordered a pasta, my friend wasn't hungry, so sha was going to end up with cappucino. Then I heard something I totally did not expect. The waiter said that WE BOTH HAVE TO ORDER THE FOOD. You can imagine how shocked I was. The man was rude and told us to leave if we both are not going to eat. It is not acceptable. There were many empty tables and we we've been waiting for our 3 friends. I said that they will order the food for sure and he cannot force someone to eat if they are not hungry and are on a special diet. He just shruged his shoulders and claimed it's not a coffee house. I agree, it's not, but we haven't had just coffee or water. So maybe it would be better to put information on the door: "No eat, no entrance". At least it's fair. I really don't know what happened with Italian people. Not all of them of course. We left and I can tell it was a big loss for this restaurant. We went to another place, where we felt very welcomed. I guess I don't have to mentioned my friends came back from the shopping and ordered a...

If u come for the view then sure, otherwise its a gamble. If u r lucky or perhaps if u r big spender, then u will be serve well with good food.

Our experience did not begin well being serve by a trainee for a glass of overpriced brunello… We felt one of the staff did not really like us and gave us awkward experience from the very beginning.

Now onto the food sure it was unique twist here and there but we were not impressed by the flavor. To be fair it doesn't taste bad and the plates are really pretty. Food was expensive but if it was good or at least service is friendly and attentive we wont mind it since they hv a really nice view. Also they had clause for “min 2dish ordering excluding dessert”

Whole experience become worst when our spaghetti came undercooked. They offer to fix it by just cook the noodle to al dente and use back the previous meat frm earlier undercooked ones. For the price im paying i would expect better. Guess other restaurant is better woroth my...

the view from the restaurant is indeed wonderful, but unfortunately the food does not match. our orders were as follows: starter: prawns with melon ice cream and red onion ice cream (this was the dish that surprised me the most as I thought the combination was different), tagliatelle with truffles (the dish lacked sauce and moisture…it was full of truffles) , however the taste of the truffles was not outstanding…I was disappointed…I imagined that it would be that Italian pasta with a juicy sauce is very tasty….but it was not.. The other dish was a tortelli stuffed with lobster…again we thought it lacked flavor and sauce. The tortelli was practically empty and lacked something to add moisture to the filling…unfortunately the taste did not live up to expectations. The wait staff were warm...

Please forget the negative reviews….impossible! My wife and I and her family had dinner there tonight and it was spectacular! First of all…the owner, Thomasina, is involved from the moment you walk in! He insured not only a great meal but also insured we had a very fun evening! The food was excellent and the desserts were even better. We enjoyed some awesome wines at a very fair price…all anyone can ask for! We have spent 6 days in Montalcino dining at the top rated restaurants and this was the best meal yet! Negative reviews are people who could not get in! …ignore and make a reservation! Michael from the USA …and a tough critic!
