If I could give this more than 5 stars, I would!! We came for drinks at this bar every night we were there. The waiter, Nicholas is super friendly, funny and overall brings a great vibe to the bar! Our drinks always came super fast and were accompanied by a variety of snacks (for free with the drinks). It was also a bonus that it’s right by the ocean. I’d recommend to all my friends and family. If you are looking for a place to have a couple drinks with great service and vibes, don’t skip out on this place! PS, the service is so incredible that if you forget anything, Nicholas will literally run with your item (sunglasses, purse, etc.) to give it to you! We saw this happen twice in the three nights we were there! He’s amazing!

Arriviamo e chiedo subito alla cameriera se è possibile fare APERITIVO (ore 16.40) Lei ci risponde che si fanno aperitivo e che basta sedersi e vengono loro a prendere l’ordinazione. Così ci sediamo e già noto che il tavolo non è stato pulito, ci sono delle mosche che girano continuamente sul tavolo ma per non risultare scortese evito di farlo notare. Dopo 10 minuti con la cameriera che gira ancora nessuno ci ha preso l’ordinazione quindi alla fine l’ho dovuta chiamare io, e anche lì ribadisco la parola APERITIVO. Mi portano i drink ma noto che da mangiare non portano nulla, mi guardo intorno e noto che gli altri tavoli hanno una ciotola di patatine mentre bevono, al che vado dentro dopo un po’ pensando che si siano dimenticati di portarcela, spiego che posso anche pagarla ma voglio qualcosa da mangiare. Rispondono che la ragazza che ci ha serviti se ne è dimenticata ma che provvedono loro, okey perfetto. Allora torno a sedermi e aspetto, vedo anche la proprietaria che si sporge e guarda a che tavolo sono seduta, ma nulla. Alla fine ho fermato un cameriere biondo e ho ribadito il problema, specificando di nuovo che posso anche pagarlo, lui con toni molto maleducati risponde che il tagliere (perché da 5 minuti stavano iniziando a portare dei micro taglieri) inizia dalle 17 di pomeriggio quindi noi essendo arrivati prima non ci toccava. Alla fine facendogli notare che tutti intorno a noi avevano avuto ste patatine tranne noi molto scocciato quasi ci facesse un favore ce le ha portate. portate dopo che avevamo finito di bere i drink!! Ovviamente non me ne facevo più nulla ormai, soprattutto dopo che il cameriere sembrava ci stesse facendo un regalo. In allegato le foto delle patatine date mentre ormai avevamo finito di bere e stavamo andando via, la seconda e la terza foto sono i tavoli accanto a noi che avevano le famose patatine che a quanto pare a noi non toccavano e le ultime due sono del tavolo sporco. Lascio a voi i commenti, il mio consiglio è di non andare in questo posto. Sconsigliatissimo

A place with great potential due to its location, but it should have more waiters and more efficient service. I ordered a coffee and scrambled eggs, the coffee was good... the scrambled eggs took 19 minutes and arrived extremely cooked, if they don't know how to do that, imagine the rest of the dishes, I also thought it was expensive 7 euros for that, would I not give it a chance again? No.

A place with great potential due to its location, but it should have more waiters and more efficient service. I ordered a coffee and scrambled eggs, the coffee was good... the scrambled eggs took 19 minutes and arrived extremely cooked, if they don't know how to do that, imagine the rest of the dishes, I also thought it was expensive 7 euros for that, would I not give it a chance again? No.

Great meeting spot right on the square in Montorosso. Nico looked after us so well, he must be the hardest working barman in Italy, and always with a smile while making sure everyone was having a good time. It was a real pleasure hanging out there, with lovely staff, great choice of music and wide drinks selection at reasonable prices (Nico also has some pretty cool cocktail creations of his own). Food was also pretty good (bear in mind this is a bar/cafe, not a restaurant) They do a nice focaccia and a solid bacon & eggs, with good coffee. We stayed at Montorosso for a little over a week in May (got married there) and because of how welcoming, warm and friendly the atmosphere was, Bar Midi quickly became our favourite place for meeting friends and watching the world go by while enjoying a few drinks. Not at all surprised that they only have 3,2% rating on Google. Last night they were totally understaffed, but had HEROES working in the bar. Doing 100 people plus outside without a system to take care of the cheques and only one person doing orders is close to a miracle. Today they don't accept orders in the bar because the woman from yesterday has been replaced with. S L O W M O! I don't want to be rude, as they are still understaffed, but wasting more time arguing about one shot than actually serving it is just (sadly) incompetent. Easy fix, treat your staff better by having more staff working!! And I don't want to end this review without repeating that this place has TRUE HEROES working...
