Extremely unprofessional. Was told 15mins for our takeaway pizza. Turned up 20min later and still not ready. Told 10mins more. Told the priority goes to patrons dining in. Why? Other than money grabbing to clear tables for more turn over, I can’t think of any other reasons. We are all paying customers, it shouldn’t be like this… 40 mins later (after I had to complain as I had hungry kids to feed), the pizza is finally ready. Upon complaint I was told that I was rude by the same wait staff who said the patrons eating at the restaurant gets priority… I was not shouting or using abusive words, just complained to say we shouldn’t be treated differently to patrons dining in as we’re all customers. He was so unprofessional and so rude. This is NOT how you treat patrons (whether take away or not). In the end, pizza isn’t anything to write home about, it’s ok, had better. Pizzas seem super rushed as all the toppings were piled in the middle. Never ever again! I hope you improve on customer service. Discrimination does not look good for you.
In reply to your comment: the waiter’s exact words were “people at the tables get priority”. I had to raise my voice as they couldn’t hear me behind the counter so I had to repeat what I said but louder. Then, for that he called me rude. I don’t often write reviews unless I feel it is necessary. But by your reply, you’re blaming to customer for “misunderstanding” the waiter, when there was no such thing. I had hoped you would value feedback. But I guess, not.
Also I don’t expect you to make all the orders exactly on time, but there should be a reasonable time quoted, not triple the time. I believe it’s justifiable when I complained about being told patrons dining in gets priority, after having to wait almost...
Read moreUnfriendly and unwelcoming. The restaurant was completely empty. We came as a family of 6, including younger kids and were excited as this place was selected as a recommendation by the ChatGPT. However, when we spent time to choose the lunch options, we were suddenly informed about the minimum spending policy that each guest is required to order a main dish. The personnel showed zero flexibility. Our kids were not going to eat the full plate, so we left and found an amazing welcoming and warm place, where we ended up purchasing even more, had a great time and the best experience. If the owner reads it, I would recommend working with the staff and adjust to the situation - even if you’re a very touristic place focused on earnings and not on the reputation, and have this very strict policy to guarantee aa decent check, the day we visited trains were on strike and much fewer people were in town for lunch. Not recommended due to dining is an important part of the overall visiting experience and you...
Read moreI’ve gone on and on to my friends about how good the food is in Italy. They’re tired of me going on about it. This restaurant is my new favourite place to eat. It was recommended by a family member, and they were spot on.
I’ve been travelling with two fussy eaters, 13 and 11. We came here because the offered pizza, and we’d been told the food was good and typical for the region. We ordered the Fantasia di Mare entree and immediately regretted not ordering more of the same instead of pizza. It was simply AMAZING! Even the fussy ones, one of whom dislikes fish, or anything new, was tasting and happily eating everything that came her way.
The waiters are friendly, and their english is excellent. Like everywhere else though, they’ll be delighted if you speak to them in Italian as it makes their job easier.
Grazie Ely, siete stati molto gentili ed è stato una delle più favolose esperienze del nostro soggiorno nelle cinque terre. Speriamo di potere ritornare fra qualche anno a goderci la...
