Came via the train as reviews stated car parking limited and access difficult. Go left from station and through underpass to old town. Small public beaches by Via Carone are pebbly but waves, especially near the cliffs, are quite large and fun. The Gigante beach is small and absolutely ramned in mid-August (towels overlapping other people's towels!). However, good waves coming off the sea and the stunning photo backdrop of Neptune without his arms. Small jelly fishes were present so you may get stung but nothing too bad.

📍 Statua del Gigante – Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, Italy 🇮🇹 At the far end of Fegina Beach 🏖️ stands this massive seaside statue 🗿, weathered yet still impressive. It’s an iconic Monterosso landmark and a popular spot for photos 📸 with the sea 🌊 and cliffs as a backdrop. Before leaving the villages, we came here for one last glimpse of Cinque Terre’s charm ✨—a fitting farewell view and a reminder of the beauty of this coast. 🙌

It is a quite original 100-years old statue just at the very western end of Monterosso (Fegina beach). The statue was built in 1910 and made of concrete reinforced with iron. It is about 14 meters tall and represents Neptune. It was bombed during WWII along with the villa behind it. Now, it is in an advanced degrading state but still catchy. Behind the statue, there is the starting point for the Monterosso-Levanto trail.

I was here for check this statue and i must to admit was nice ... just the beach is not of quality a lot of dirty and not in order parking for cars are in middle of the sand. And the worse thing is for reach this place you must to do a rally from the highway to the place lots og dangerous turns and a lot of ignorants drivers ( specially people from the place are the champions of ignorance drivers. The place and the beach and the statue dont pays for the trip... from 0 to 10 i gives 4 points... if i must to recommend my advice will be ... dont go there. Better...
