This was our first dinner in Cinque Terre. It's a bit of a hike to get to the restaurant/hotel and literally the beginning of the hike to Vernazza. I reserved the romantic dinner, which to my surprise was in a completely separate, private area with a sick view of Monterosso - it was nice. The food was quite good, but I think the service really made everything great. Alessio is a great young waiter. He's personable, good at conversation and you can tell he's trying to make your experience pleasant. I do think they need to manage the bugs a little better in this area, but it was excusable given the effort (to just us at least). Alessio also had great suggestions and answers to all our questions. I really felt like I was ordering all the right things. We had a unique flambe for desert and took the rest of our bottle of wine to the poolside bar, not far away, to cap off the evening. The service impeccable,the food is just as good now as it was 25 years ago and the space, environment and view.
