Antica Trattoria E Pizzeria Da Nanninella A Toledo — Restaurant in Naples

We visited several restaurants in Naples over the past few days, and unfortunately, this one was by far the worst.

It’s clearly very touristy and feels more like a place for mass processing than a proper dining experience. You’re quickly shown to a table, but after that, the service drops off dramatically. It took quite a while before we were even able to place our order, and then we waited ages for the food to arrive.

The bruschetta was overloaded with seasoning and the bread itself wasn’t good. Overall, the food was nothing special. There are dozens of places in Naples with a much better atmosphere and significantly better food.

We also had an Aperol Spritz – something that’s usually hard to mess up – but even that was the worst we had during our stay.

To make things worse, our table was right next to the kitchen entrance, where a bell was constantly ringing whenever a dish was ready. This wasn’t just the occasional ding – at times, it rang 10 to 20 times in a row. It was extremely distracting and really killed the mood.

We also had to wait forever just to get the bill.

Service was awful, took 30 minutes to get a coke & beer. Staff had no interest other than smoking and on their phones. Had to ask twice to be served & twice for the bill. Once I got the bill I waited for them to come over, but nothing so had to go inside & pay. It seemed like an issue that I was paying by card & not with cash.

I saw them serve the table next to me by serving their plate of food straight on top of a menu, they couldn’t even move the menu? Also the women had no cutlery.

Next we witnessed a women causing problems outside, which included stealing somebody else’s food from the waiter & then she went up to another table & pretended to empty her plate of pasta onto theirs, whilst they were trying to eat… the staff seemed to laugh and joke with her & allowed her in, when clearly she shouldn’t been anywhere near others trying to enjoy a meal.

Honestly, I mistakenly came here. Due to I was searching for TikTok popular place which is Trattoria da Nennella near it. They have the same name, just later on when I already ordered I understood my mistake.

Anyways let’s go to food, I ordered Buffalo pizza and it was just 3/5, even so I was so hungry, I thought that I could find better options in the near restaurants. The sauce was bitter tomato taste which made whole pizza a bit questionable. That’s all what I tried😂

Service was nice, I was so scared to be pickpocketed, so I had extra chair for my bag, they helped me with it, so grateful for understanding:) I don’t know why, but all clients were so tired ahah, so 3/5 for atmosphere. I don’t think that I will comeback to eat Napoli Food at...
