We went there because we wanted to have a classic breakfast with a croissant and coffee. We weren’t there very early, and were told that croissants were already sold out. Instead, they offered us a similar pastry made from the same dough. It wasn’t as flaky as a croissant, but it was decent enough. The coffee was not bad. The location is very central, and sitting at the outdoor tables gives you a chance to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Naples. There are also tables inside. Like in almost every café and restaurant in Naples, the toilet seats had been removed. However, there was an attendant constantly cleaning the facilities, so they were kept clean. Unlike many other places in Naples, this restroom actually had both soap and a lock on the door. The waiter wasn’t particularly friendly, perhaps just not in the mood that day. Still, it’s not a bad place to sit back, watch the crowds pass by, and sip your coffee in a relaxed way. They also had simple omelet options, which tasted fine.

The caffe was recommended to us for their famous Sfogliatella, a local Neapolitan light sweet, with fresh ricotta and small pieces of orange peel, usually eaten at the start of the day. So our first visit was for breakfast. Christian, a very kind and patient waiter, helped us to choose from the catalogue. And his suggestions were impeccable! We went back at various times of the day, for coffee and aperitif, and were never disappointed. We tried: Cream coffee, something between ice cream and coffee that you can get without or with Nutella, Cool espresso like granita, and also mint granita, Fresh orange juice, Real hot chocolate and of course, the famous Sfogliatella. Finally, a special mention to their aperitifs, served with various nibblings. You can sit in the air-conditioned area inside and enjoy the aristocratic feeling or outside on the sidewalk.

Ceraldi Cafe offers a pleasant experience with friendly service and enjoyable food, but the outdoor atmosphere leaves much to be desired. We visited as a group of three an hour before closing, and while the staff were welcoming and the cappuccinos and sweets we ordered were satisfying, the exterior environment was a significant drawback. The outdoor seating area was unbearably hot, with no fans or any cooling measures in place, which made it difficult to fully enjoy our time there. If the cafe could improve its outdoor cooling options, it would significantly enhance the overall experience.

I was at ceraldi Caffe, last month when I visited Napoli. This place is incredible, everything looks so fresh and I was debating for almost 30 minutes about what's to order! I decided to order the famous "Neapolitan Sfogliatella", but at that point it came that they have two kind of Sfogliatella: Riccia and Frolla. I spend other 10 minutes to decide and I ordered both. They were extremely good, fresh, soft, tasty, delicious; I could taste that they were daily made and there were only good stuff inside..Afterwards I also ordered a caffè brasiliano which was extremely delicious as well. Then I kept visiting the amazing city of Naples which has been a real discovery for me, and I am sure, I will go back...
