We booked online to eat on Friday night at 20:00. We we're first in but very quickly followed by a small family and then another couple. The restaurant doesn't show up on Google Street View, but is exactly where it says it should be on the Maps, on the corner.
It's a small restaurant, about 8 or 10 tables of 2 (also made into 4s) but feels spacious. We sat in the window. The menu is varied, and the wine list also has a good selection: we decided on prosecco, a first and second course each followed with desert. It was all delicious: I particularly enjoyed the wire-drawn pasta with anchovies and tomatoes. My desert was deconstructed canoli which was very good!
Our waiter was attentive and informative. We asked him about the little motto of the restaurant and he was more than happy to translate and also explain the history of the area that gave the restaurant its theme. He also pointed out that the ceiling above was an original wooden flooring from an older period.
We finished with some limoncello and left feeling full and cheerful. This really is a lovely restaurant with great food and friendly staff. Our meal came to around €65 including 20% discount booked through The Fork, but it would have been well worth it...
Read moreMy sister and I had the pleasure of dining at Cibare, and it was an unforgettable experience! We arrived early, hoping to grab a coffee and snacks, but ended up staying for a full-course lunch that exceeded our expectations.
The eggplant parmigiano was a highlight, and the appetizer platter featuring mozzarella buffalo and prosciutto was a perfect start to the meal. The main course, shrimp and seafood ravioli in a creamy sauce, was divine.
Dessert was a masterpiece – the deconstructed cannoli with fresh custard and crispy chocolate slices was a delightful twist on a classic. And to top it off, we enjoyed a complimentary meloncello as a digestif.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the attention to detail in the meal preparation was impressive. We can't wait to return and try more of...
Read moreJust wanted to give a shout-out to Cibare as it was a recommendation from the place we stayed in Naples. It’s a small restaurant of 10-12 tables but a fantastic menu and wine list. We spoke little italian but we managed to arranged a wonderful sharing meal worth writing about. Good wine pairing recommended by the owner and good even pace of dishes eventhough the restaurant filled up quickly after we sat down. These (see photos) were dishes highly recommended for an enjoyable meal….bufalata salad, polpo (octopus), spagelletto Genovese, ravioli mazara. The service was impeccable and it’s always great to see the owner getting hands on to take care of the customers. Definitely a good value...
