The food and all was actually very decent. We went there two nights in a row for dinner. The first day was fantastic and I would have rated five stars. However, on the second night they ripped us off. We paid almost double for almost the exact same orders. We just had one glass of wine and two desserts more than the night before. The waiter asked us several times if we’d pay cash and didn’t provide a receipt. After he said what we’d have to pay and noticed that we were confused and hesitant, he explained the price... I ordered house wine by the glass. But was served “better wine” without knowing or being told. That was a HUGE price difference. My friend had the same mixed alcoholic beverage than the night before but it was more expensive too for whatever reason. Still being hesitant and irritated he all of a sudden offered a “discount” because we were such a nice couple. (Sure...). We ended up paying because we were too tired to make a big thing of it. But won’t go there ever...
Read moreMy partner and I were told to not sit in a specific area of outaide seating, despite the tables being set up. We moved immediately, as asked, to the area the waiter asked. Afterwards, we were left alone without a menu for roughly 10 minutes. It was not busy, only two other tables had customers, mid meal. After we got menus, another 10 minutes before a different server offered to get us drinks. Another 5 minutes before asking us for our food. Took a good few tries to order 2 pizzas and an appetizer. The waiter didnt speak much english, so I attempted using google translate (i dont speak italian). That wasnt much more effective. After we got our food, we were checked on constantly. From our view, it seemed they were rushing us to leave. We had to grab our plates (food still on plates) to keep them from taking them.
TLDR: rude staff, language barrier issues despite obvious attempts on my part to overcome that, slow service,...
Read moreDo not recommend if you are not a native. We waited an hour for our pizzas while 3 tables that arrived after us (that were all speaking Italian) got their pizzas within 15/20 minutes. The levels of service were also very different, the tables who spoke Italian were checked in on frequently while our table was only spoken to after they realized we were upset about the situation. I can understand being intimidated to have to work with a table that speaks a langauge outside of your usual tongue but the whole situation felt incredibly intentional. The menu was misleading, it's labeled that several different sections can be made gluten free but only pizzas are available to be made gluten free. The pizza was okay, but by the end we were too upset to really be hungry. Maybe our experience would have been different on a different day at a different time, but this was incredibly disappointing and an awful start to our...
