TOURIST TRAP RESTAURANT - better to go to the many other amazing restaurants in Napoli.

Napoli was amazing as a whole and had so many wonderful restaurants, but I think this restaurant would probably be the least enjoyable as a whole.

Service - 0*

Upon sitting down, we had to wait a long time to get the menus, as I had to ask for them eventually. Waited even longer to order food, was told an elderly gentleman (probably the lead waiter/boss) would take the order, but he never did and had to ask again and eventually was taken by someone else.

It seems like they're not interested to work at all, Or being selective with how they do their job.

Ironically, they had the cheek to add additional charges on the bills:

As I was already tired and the meal of the night, I paid for it. But normally I never would.

This definitely is for tourists as not a single other restaurant has done this.

Food - 3*

Ordered a pizza - nothing out of the ordinary. I've had amazing pizzas in Napoli so far, and this was just okay. Not good, not bad - just okay.

Atmosphere - 2*

The location was nice, however the service was so bad that it ruined the atmosphere and I just wanted to leave at this point.

I'd suggest going to over better restaurants, plenty available all around Napoli, and generally the initial interaction with them would be an indicator.

Laughable.

In order to improve, take criticism on board - you're only succeeding due to your location, not the food and definitely not the service.

We just came from a 4 hour city tour in the grueling heat Napoli and we saw this 2 pizza restaurants side by side and decided to go to Annare as they have an inside restaurant that has an A/C. We were welcomed with a smile and Roberta’s service was exceptional and needed to be commended! I don’t normally give and leave reviews but had to do this as she was very attentive towards your needs. The minute i finished my food she was there to take the plate. She also help me choose my meal. She was all smiles and took my tireness away. I felt like i came to a family owned restaurant and her the owner. I am not sure if she is the daughter of the owner but she treated me like family. I was looking for specific desert and told us where to go for the best i ever tasted as we compared it with another and the one she suggested was actually better! She also opened the door for us! I am sure that the people waiting on you have problems of their own as i saw another server who was exasperated as she smoked her electric cigarette before coming out to serve us. Glad it was Roberta who waited on us as again if I was the owner of this restaurant, I would make her partner in a heartbeat! She is the most attentive, selfless server I have ever encountered in my life! And mind you. I majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management and part owner of 2 restaurants of my own. After a few good places in Napoli, this restaurant was a bit disappointing with terrible service. The food that me and my parents ordered was very good, but the pizzas were a bit heavy compared to other places. I barely finished my pizza, while my father could not. My mother loved her pasta. The price - too high. 30-40% higher than other places. It is probably because the restaurant is located on the square between two tourist spots, next to a taxi stand and there is just one more restaurant next to you. Service was slow for 5 tables, when you have 5-6 people from the staff just talking to each other and doing nothing. When we asked for the bill it took the server 15-20 minutes to give it, because after he gave the bill to the next table that asked after us, he forgot and was nowhere to be seen for a long time! Also when the pizza was served they confused our order with the table next to us. The other table realized the mistake right away and told the server so everything went to the right place, but again a reminder - they had only 5 or 6 tables with customers, for a restaurant with at least 30 tables!
