Delicious pizza. I ordered a pizza Roma and a pizza Margherita on Monday morning. So delicious, I came back Tuesday evening for another Margherita and it was perfect. The crust was chewy, delicious tomato sauce, just the right amount of savory cheese. I didn’t see anywhere to sit except for two tables on the sidewalk. The pizza was given to me in a take out box and, warning to Americans, the pizza is not cut or sliced but served whole. Ronnie and I simply tore the pizza into bite sized pieces and enjoyed. It was really delicious. The pizza oven is about two feet from the sidewalk so you can easily see them make and bake your pie in just minutes. Each pizza is about 10” in diameter and can feed two people. A hungry man could easily eat one pizza alone. I was surprised that each pizza was only 4 Euros. I chose this restaurant because it was across the street from where I was staying while visiting Napoli. I came back because the pizza tasted delicious. They don’t accept payment by card so have Euros in hand. And they don’t speak much English here so be ready with basic Italian to place your order and pay. My only regret is this place is 5,500 miles from my home in California. This restaurant gave me the perfect Napoli pizza to remember. We ate one pizza out of the box on the street and took the other two back to our place. I’d come back here again with no...
Read moreThe pizza is delicious as it is everywhere in Napoli. The experience I had was disappointing. I was clearly overcharged because I was a tourist. I calculated the cost of my order before paying, but at the end I was charged more than I had expected.
When I asked the waitress why the price is so high, she called other two ladies (one of which came with a calculator and started to calculate everything). The pizzas where more expensive then it was in the menu and we were told that menu is outdated and needs to be updated.
This whole situation is strange for me because the waitress recommended a pizza with burrata and when I asked how much a pizza with burrata cost, she just shrugged her shoulders. I asked her in Italian, and I repeated the question twice, but she still didn't answer. The menu said that the pizza cost 6.5 euros, but I was charged 8 euros.
I think that this restaurant is trying to take advantage of tourists. They see that you are not from the area, and they think that you won't know the real prices. I would be very careful if you decide...
Read moreThe pizza was tasty. However, we didn’t order any drinks, and within ten minutes the waiter came over three times asking if we wanted something to drink. Then another waitress approached with a displeased expression and asked the same question. When we declined, she simply removed the glasses that had been placed on the table and walked away. The waitress who brought the pizza wasn’t particularly friendly either — luckily she didn’t throw the pizza at us, or we might have gotten burned from the melted cheese.
We waited nearly 30 minutes for the pizza — it seemed like they might have gone to a neighboring pizzeria to get it, because we never experienced such a long wait anywhere else. Also, the prices listed outside didn’t match the prices inside. And on top of that, they charged an extra €1.50 per person just for dining in.
Would I recommend this place?...
