Pizzeria e trattoria taxi — Restaurant in Naples

Had one day in Naples to see Pompeii and decided to have dinner here. We ordered octopus salad, seafood pasta, and a caprese pizza. Everything was excellent and staff were very courteous, even offering an espresso at the end of the meal. Even the bread basket had some nice fresh loaf slices that had a nice crispy thin crust and fluffy soft interior. Great for sopping up all that wonderful sauce from the salad and pasta. The salad had nice chunks of octopus marinated in oil and some seasoning I couldn’t identify but every fork full was delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente, seafood seemed very fresh with my wife and I ensuring we got all that lovely sauce off of the shells before discarding. Pizza was terrific. Maybe could use a bit more basil but that could be a personal choice. Mozzarella had melted and had tons of creamy flavour which pairs well with the tomatoes and pizza doe. Seems like a nice little family run trattoria close to the Napoli centrale train station that took the extra effort to ensure our dishes were prepared with care...

17/08/2025. Ho cenato qui. Posto frequentato dai napoletani. Piccolo. Il menù non è ampio ma ci sono i piatti della cucina tradizionale,servono anche la pizza,ma non l' ho assaggiata. I servizi andrebbero rimessi a nuovo.

Il menù si sfoglia tramite un QR CODE. Ho mangiato: 1)zeppoline. 2)genovese. 3) zucchine alla scapece. 4)una bottiglia da 2lt di acqua naturale. 5) una Peroni da 66cl. 6) caffè. 7)un bicchierino di crema di melone. Costo:24€.

Il servizio iniziale è stato talmente rapido, che mi hanno portato tutto insieme. Il personale è cortese,alla mano, senza essere invadente. Stranamente tutto si é "bloccato"al momento del caffè: é passato molto tempo prima di poter ordinare e riceverlo. Nel complesso il cibo mi é piaciuto:il CAFFÈ, assolutamente no. Mi é stato servito un caffè in un bicchiere di carta:se il caffè è un vanto per Napoli, secondo me,o lo fai a modo, oppure non farlo.

Alla "Tripperia O'Russ"in via Foria il caffè non lo fanno, perché non hanno il posto per la macchina e tutto il resto:il caffè che mi hanno fatto qui,mi sembrava di "capsula"; e,in ogni caso,in un bicchiere di carta.

Non ho voluto fare polemiche su questo: l' ho bevuto,ho pagato,poi,sono andato a bere un caffè vero altrove.

Sono riuscito a trovare un posto per me passando da lí a piedi. Si può arrivare con le due linee della metro a p.zza Garibaldi,poi,arrivare lí a piedi.

Altrimenti c'è ampia disponibilità di bici elettriche...

This is a local gem! Super flavorful and affordable dishes - lots of food for great prices. All homemade flavor. We got the bolognaise, penne ragu, pizza, and the salmon starter. All great. They even gave us extra ragu sauce for free! And cooked an order for our daughter even when they weren't quite open yet.

The location is close to via Foria (big road) around a lot of auto shops. Very local - doesn't look touristy at...
