We had dinner at this place. The service was very friendly when we arrived and they took a lot of time to explain everything to us. We had bruschette, octopus salad and pasta and two glasses of wine, red and white. It took quite a long time until the starters arrived, the bruschetta was ok but the bread was quite soaked and we had them already better in Napoli. The octopus salad tasted very fishy and we didn’t finish it because of this. The staff insisted that it was from the same day but even if it was, we didn’t have the impression it was fresh. The wine was the worst wine we ever had. Even in my home country I haven’t drunk such a bad wine before. It was more like vinegar. After the starters we had a very long wait and nobody asked us if we would like to have another bottle of water or something else. The pasta arrived but one dish was wrong. The staff asked me if I want to eat it anyway and seemed a little stressed when I refused. Finally everything arrived and the taste was ok. The size of the dishes was huge. All in all we didn’t enjoy our stay too much and won’t come back. The staff is very friendly but lacked also of attention and the food is not even average. Maybe they had a bad day but we won’t...
Read moreI’d give it a 5 because I believe they deserved it. The staff who took our orders was nice and friendly and he explained well the menu and that helped us to decide what to eat. We ordered 2 different pasta dishes and my partner and I were both satisfied. I ordered the spaghetti luciana and my partner had the pasta with small clams. They were tasty, served in big portions, pasta was firm, and I’d say with fresh, quality ingredients. Even the free bread were fresh and tasted good. It’s not very cheap, but considering the big portion and it was flavourful, for me okay. They’re seafood pasta for 14€ each aren’t bad at all. You can sit outside, yes, on a slope that’s not straight but hello, this is Napoli, it’s so normal. It’s a new restaurant but the cook’s an old lady who’s been cooking for the family for years and for me, in all honesty, she’s...
Read moreBooked a table of 7 at Taverna69 and we're very impressed. We were greeted by the fabulous Salvatore who looked after us and we ended up ordering all his suggestions which were delicious. The pasta & patate was one of the tastiest I've had, octopus also amazing and the fritto misto light and crunchy. All dishes were spot on and we ended up moving to their bar across the street for post dinner cocktails. A shout out to Salva's aunt and uncle who were also brilliant at looking after us. We also returned the following evening to try more delicacies. This will be our first stop when...
