Cortes — Restaurant in Noto

My recent visit to this restaurant was far from enjoyable. The troubles began when we arrived on a rainy day with our baby. Firstly, there was no high chair available, which is a basic amenity that should be provided for families. In an attempt to be accommodating, the staff moved us inside to an entirely empty room, where we thought we could comfortably feed our baby while waiting for our food. However, things took a turn for the worse when the staff, despite the emptiness of the restaurant, insisted we couldn't sit there, claiming I was blocking the way. This was puzzling, as there were only a couple of other patrons who had arrived just minutes before we left.

Upon requesting to be moved outside again so that we could at least use the pram, our request was entirely ignored, and the staff seemed visibly irritated and for that reason we had to eat while holding our baby. The lack of flexibility and understanding in such a situation was disappointing.

While the food was ok, it was far from special, and the overall experience at thr restaurant was marred by this unnecessary hassle and unfriendly atmosphere. I hope the restaurant can improve its customer service and make the necessary accommodations for families...

We had a wonderful meal here today 28 Dec 2021. The chef/owner was lovely and accommodating. We were a large group of 8, with a few children and my Grandmother who is a celiac sufferer. The chef ensured that none of her food had any sort of gluten in it and took great care to meet her needs and prepare her a delicious lunch. They also made an off menu simple pasta pomodoro for my youngest kids. My oldest child didn't know what to try and the chef talked with here and helped her decide on roasted fish, which she loved. Una cena al Cortes è stata un'esperienza disastrosa, caratterizzata da cibo immangiabile e prezzi esorbitanti. La nostra serata si è trasformata rapidamente in un incubo dal quale non vedevo l'ora di scappare.

I problemi non sono iniziati con il personale, poiché il servizio era cortese e veloce nonostante l'alta affluenza. Purtroppo, questo è stato l'unico punto positivo della serata, dato che il comportamento del personale non poteva compensare le gravi mancanze della cucina.

Il vero punto dolente era il cibo. È incredibile come un ristorante possa rovinare qualcosa di semplice come la Pasta alla Norma. Il piatto è arrivato tiepido e insipido, con melanzane stracotte e una salsa totalmente insapore. Ma il peggio doveva ancora venire.

Ho deciso di provare la Pasta alle Vongole con Crema di Pistacchio, aspettandomi una deliziosa combinazione di sapori. Invece, ho ricevuto un piatto di pasta dal sapore terribilmente amaro e di pesce andato a male. Era completamente immangiabile, così l'ho rimandato indietro. Il cuoco è poi uscito cercando di convincermi che il sapore amaro proveniva dalla menta e dai pistacchi nella salsa. Avendo ordinato questo piatto in numerosi altri ristoranti, so per certo che questa spiegazione era del tutto assurda.

Data la pessima qualità del cibo, ci si potrebbe aspettare che i prezzi siano almeno realistici. Purtroppo, non era così. I costi esorbitanti per il pasto hanno reso l'intera esperienza ancora peggiore, facendo sembrare la visita una vera e propria truffa.

In sintesi, Cortes fallisce su tutta la linea: cibo disgustoso e prezzi oltraggiosi. Il servizio era cortese e veloce, ma questo non ha potuto salvare il quadro complessivo misero. Risparmiate tempo e denaro e evitate questo locale a...
