The worst service. The servers and the manager were rude from the moment we sat down. As people of color, we were watched constantly. The manager followed us out the restaurant and raised his voice at us for having a bottle of water for a child. It was by far the worst experience I have had in Olbia.
Edit: we are actually all different people who are writing a review based on our experience at this restaurant. We did have drinks at the bar nearby and decided to eat at La Tasca after our drinks, however upon entering the server was so rude and didn’t give us a chance to look at the menu before making assumptions about what we were going to order. Based on the interaction we had with her, I decided I was not going to spend my money there and simply was waiting for the child to finish eating. We were not 4 people sharing the pizza, the child was eating the pizza to be clear. Had the server asked more questions or had a better attitude this entire situation could have been avoided as we were all prepared to eat there. Then rather than trying to find out what happened and asking questions to understand, the manager comes out raising his voice at us talking about us having a bottle of water. Atrocious overall and would...
Read moreRestaurant was recommended to us by a waiter in the local cafe and we are so glad we visited! Service was very friendly and the food was so good that I ate far too much and suffered for it, but it was worth it! We had the local verementino di Gallura wine which was the cheapest on the menu but not your usual house wine! It was complex and worked very well with food. We tried the carbonara which is very rich. The guaincale was a little too much fat for me and not crispy enough but it was salty and delicious. We also had the tagiolini with scampi, the meatballs and the saltimbocca. The polpette were so tender and the sauce was fabulous. The saltimbocca was the best I’ve had outside of Rome. Would definitely...
Read more1st visit to La Tasca, Olbia and indeed Sardinia. For someone allergic to cheese, it is not easy to find something to eat in Italy but here in this lovely corner we found an ideal menu. We sat outside on a lovely October evening and had drinks while checking out the menu's with QR scanned code. Decided on steak and nice waiter went through how it was served and options of sides. We ordered flank medium to well done. It arrived on a bed of rocket with endive and a side of baked potato to share. Delicious and just the right amount of food for us. With 2 drinks each, food and cover charge ( the norm in Italy) the bill was €99. We forgot to mention to them it was our Coral wedding anniversary but we...
