Ristorante Old Station — Restaurant in Olbia

Lunch on Wednesday 12 October 2022 Today the weather went from cloudy to torrential downpour to showers, almost at a whim! We were seated under one of the huge table umbrellas, along with several young German couples with either babies or toddlers. This is primarily a pizza restaurant, although they do serve a smaller selection of starters and first or second courses. We ordered a large bottle of water at €3, a very nice litre of homemade chilled red wine (with really high quality wine glasses) at €14, one Pizza Vegetariana (tomato, mozzarella, aubergines, peppers and zucchinis) at €9.50 and one Pizza Quattro Formaggi (tomato, mozzarella, gorgonzola cheese, pecorino cheese and grana) at €9. We swapped pizzas halfway through and each agreed that it was hard to decide which pizza was the best! The total bill was ONLY €39.50. The pizzas were really good (with nice authentic thin bases) and were ridiculously inexpensive for what we got.

Lunch on Saturday 15 October 2922 Not quite so busy today, despite it being a hot and sunny Saturday, but we did turn up shortly after 12.30. The owner/waiter was lovely and we had a couple of chats in my broken Italian and his pretty good English. We ordered one large bottle of water at €3, one excellent litre of house red wine at €16 (up in price by €2 since Wednesday but that may be the weekend price or just because we're English and we neck our wine), two mains of Trofie al Pesto (a typical Sardinian pasta with Pesto, very well done "al dente" pasta with not quite enough pesto) at €15 each and two coffees at €2 each. I stumbled across this place by accident, but it looked very inviting and busy which is always a good sign for me! The staff were very attentive and friendly, they made me feel very welcome even tho I only knew a few Italian words & phrases. I had the diavolo pizza and a beer- the beer came straight out and the pizza followed very shortly after! The pizza was so tasty I ate the whole thing in a record time! I was I a rush, so i went straight in and paid, which they were very accommodating and again, friendly. Thanks to the guys there for a lovely (fast) lunch!! Definitely recommend and I will definitely be back!...

The food was taking too much time so we asked for some bread in the meantime however the waitress was rude and the bread never came. After 40 minutes the food came with lots of rudeness... When we were paying the bill we asked to remove the service charge and they refused to remove it and started being very rude and shouting. They also refused to split the bill as we were in 2 couple. The toilet didn't even have tissue to dry the hands and they didn't provide us a spoon when we requested.
