3 days in Northern Italy Italian Lakes! We had the absolute best service from Lucia a young lady getting ready to graduate from the university! She was helpful in us choosing our wine selection, as well as food choices. She was always ready to fill our wine glasses. Extremely attentive and friendly. The food is amazing! Una settimana fa, consapevoli di un nuovo imminente passaggio in zona arancione per chissà quanto tempo, abbiamo deciso di approfittare di un' incredibile domenica di sole per andare a pranzo sul Lago d'Orta.

Eravamo stati in passato per un pranzo incantevole a Villa Crespi (ristorante due stelle Michelin di Cannavacciuolo) ma avevamo trovato un tempo veramente infame.

Domenica scorsa invece abbiamo prenotato in un ristorante nel paese di Orta San Giulio vista lago. Siamo stati ai Due Santi. La bellezza del pranzo sotto al sole al centro della piazza del paese è stato assolutamente priceless. Per rendere l'esperienza più piacevole ovviamente abbiamo fatto in modo da riempirci dignitosamente anche lo stomaco.

Dagli antipasti (Tomino con speck croccante su peperoni; Coniglio con chutney di mele e aceto balsamico; terrina calda con carciofi) ai primi (spaghettoni all'uovo con carciofi e mazzancolle), dai secondi (Tagliata con patate al forno su crema di gorgonzola dolce) fino ai dolci (Tiramisù; Strudel con gelato; biscotto di nocciole con ricotta pere e cioccolato), abbiamo goduto della serenità di un pranzo fuori pensando a quanto sarebbe bello poter tornare a credere che occasioni del genere siano la normalità e non delle rare eccezioni.

Ai Due Santi is an amazing restaurant to spend the evening enjoying the sunset and the views of the island.
