I have spent many years dining around the world and I have had some amazing meals and many not so amazing. My last trip to Orvieto, Italy has given me many good meals along with many great bars. This is a "must see place" on this planet. Unfortunately, I have had one of my worst ever dining experiences here. Four of us sat down to enjoy one more meal but the experience was horrible. We ordered a serving of Bruschetta followed by four different meals with a few beer and a bottle of wine. The Bruschetta was nothing more than dried bread with cheese whiz spread over it and then there were three other options that had jelly spread over dried bread. We should have known then what we were in for. Our orders arrived, but not one of them was worthy of any restaurant serving. When we complained about the meals, we got into a heated argument with the owner. We paid full price but ate nothing on the plates. This is not a restaurant at all, but a family of thieves who know better but continue to rip people off. The place was empty when we arrived and now we know why. Not only did we experience extremely poor food, we were treated like we had no idea of what we were talking about and insulted by the owner. Stay away from this place and do not put yourself through this. Thankfully there are many other good places to eat in Orvieto, so we went on to eat at another spot. I would rate this place a zero out of five but I have to give it a...
Read moreA 1 only because I cannot give it a 0!!! Worst food I’ve ever had (not just in Italy but worldwide!) We were sat, took the server 5 minutes to bring us the menu. He was just standing around doing nothing. When he finally came to take our order. I started asking him a question and he just walked away. 10 minutes later someone else came to take our order. Despite having only 4 tables, it took 10 minute for the bruschetta to arrived and another 40 minutes (!!!!!!) for the mains. We ordered the pigeon and a pizza. The pigeon was inedible (yes we had some before and liked it so that wasn’t the problem). The pizza was terrible the crust was falling apart and it had no taste and very little ingredients on it. Absolutely no service throughout this entire experience. Extremely disappointed, don’t make the same mistake, DO NOT eat here. Everywhere else in this town has...

We generally review exceptional restaurants and ones that others should stay away from. Unfortunately, this falls in the latter category. We waited more more than 40 mins for our mains and pizza to arrive.
It wasn't a busy Sunday night, only three other 2 person tables. When we asked the waiter for an update, he wasn't able to communicate how long it would be. Granted that it might be a language barrier, however there was no communication from.any other staff member about our food.
Unfortunately, the food was below average in quality - worse than getting a frozen pizza to heat up at home. We didn't complain as it was already 9pm, and we wanted to put the worst...
