B & B Ripa Medici — Local services in Orvieto

We spent the final five nights of a two week holiday staying at Ripa Medici in Orvieto. The suite became a second home for us and we strongly recommend you consider staying there if you’re planning a trip to Orvieto. This place deserves its great local reputation.

The suite itself is located in the older end of town in a well-maintained block at the end of a very quiet street, overlooking the countryside around the city. We really appreciated how quiet the place was. And we also loved awaking each morning to breathtaking views over the hills around Orvieto.

It took less than five minutes to stroll to the main high street and many of the sights the city has to offer.

We stayed in late November 2018 and really appreciated coming back to our centrally-heated suite with its well-equipped kitchen each evening.

Sabrina was helpful and friendly and looked after us well. We were especially impressed with how well-organised and professional everything was. Her well-judged recommendations were appreciated, especially at a time of year when some of the venues were closed.

Ripa Medici is the perfect base for exploring Orvieto, in a quiet location on the edge of the town with glorious countryside views and within easy walking distance of a wide variety of bars, restaurants, shops and attractions. ||We booked the family suite as, although there were only 2 of us, we prefer having kitchen/dining facilities and a lounge area which this suite provides. The spacious accommodation is beautifully presented with local furnishings, fabrics and toiletries, polished wooden flooring and light filled rooms, it is very comfortable, spotlessly clean and the air conditioning in both bedrooms provides relief from the heat when required. We found the price excellent value for the high standards on offer. ||Sabrina is a very charming and welcoming host and is on hand for help and advice if needed. We encountered a minor problem with some equipment during our stay but Sabrina and her son called round immediately to sort it out.||We first stayed here 14 years ago and chose to return this year to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary so it was wonderful to find Ripa Medici just as perfect and Orvieto just...
