Please read this if you are visiting Palermo and want to have an introduction to some local produce, a cool drink and most importantly, be looked after by genuine people. This is not the limocello retail outlet through out down town Palermo.
Step 1. Be greeted by genuine staff who would like you to try their produce. Whether it is limoncello or it's relatives or whether it's a range of cheese.
Step 2. Go upstairs Meet the super friendly bartenders and have one of their unique cocktails which use local produce all in a cool contemporary space. The bar staff are everything you would want. Knowledgeable and helpful. Don't forget to order some food with your drinks.
Step 3. (Optional) Is your accommodation a little kitchenette or no cooking at all? Talk to the guys in the deli, get them to prepare you some pane, salumi and cheese, maybe some wine. Dinner is done.

While both were made fresh and crisp with the best greens, cheese and ham, it was only the lateness of the hour that stopped us getting up and leaving when we were kept waiting that long. The waiters & kitchen did their best to cope but as the manager added more tables and seated even more diners, it was visibly impossible for the staff to keep up. Had we been made aware when we were being seated that the wait for food and even water would be 30+ mins, we’d probably have moved on. There are many good places to grab a bite in the area, I would recommend trying one of those for...
