Hope the photo is not misleading you. Bar has a great location and that is why I give it a 2 stars. Otherwise very expensive and food almost eatable, you better avoid it! We payed 26 € for a salad an a pasta. A guy on the street invited us in the bar and since we were hungry and impressed by the Cathedral and the view we sat down. What a mistake. Not only the food also the desks were small and dirty, inside the Bar everything is in chaos, you get the invoice written on hand. We wanted to drink a coffee as well there but after the meal we changed our mind. And we are happy we did.

Very nice food, very friendly owner. Went there on the first day of our trip to Palermo and after very nice experience came back few times later during our stay and not once been disappointed. Pasta delicious, pizza fresh and tasty, sword fish excellent. Reading other people's comments, I'm wondering if we eaten at the same place as they did. If we comeback to Palermo, we definitely visit again.

One of the proprietors of this establishment literally screamed at me today after I got stuck in their bathroom because the door latch didn't work. It was comically ridiculous (albeit infuriatingly and bewilderingly disrespectful). Apparently, this is what buying an $8 beer at "Pizzeria Katia" (that I could've picked up for $2 on the street) gets you. I've never been treated more disrespectfully in an establishment I was frequenting in my life. Thankfully, this is a glaring exception in my experiences in Italy on three different trips over 30 years. I've found Italians, like most people I encounter while traveling, extraordinarily welcoming, kind, and patient. Italians can be passionate in argumentation with friends (which I like and respect), but this woman wasn't my friend, I was her customer. Instead of responding to her laughable behavior by playing adult and paying with her choice of credit cards, as I did, some people would've justifiably slapped her....

I see many bad reviews, and incredibly low rating (2.4 :o) but our experience was quite nice, coffee was good, staff was friendly, service was quick, and food very tasty (I did only eat bruschete, so no much room to mess it up, but nevertheless). The prices are indeed high, but it is something you expect on such touristic spots. P.S. The toilet is awful :( P.S. P. S. My wife disagrees and would give 1 star because she expects at least a decent toilet with toilet paper - apparently the practice is that when the staff see you are headed to the toilet, they approach you and give you a couple of sheets of...
