Ristorante Bar Fatima — Restaurant in Palermo

I visited the restaurant today. Was quite hungry, ordered pizza and Instalata Capricossa (have asked the waitress before ordering that, if she reccomends gnocchi gorganzola, but she said- pizza will be better.)

Guess what? Pizza wasn't what I expected (if im choosing the polite wording here). And you should see my state of shock, when they brought me a salad 80% of which was lettuce leaves, 4 cherry tomatoes cut in halves and.... raw championion mushrooms!!! Raw!! Serioisly?? You can get food poisoning from raw champinions. I asked the waitress, if she is sure this suppose to be my salad, she was absolutely no regrets or apology..she said: "it is salad, you supposed to eat it raw.." I felt they probably mixed up the rubbish bin with my plate.

Besides "Insalata capricossa" is the analogy of coleslaw salad, where carrots would be taking the major part. Guess how many carrots I found in my salad? Zero.

I regret I haven't made a scene there. I was hoping they will find a way to admit their mistake - so I said I'd take something else and ordered Gnocci Gorganzola, which I regreted later. I felt like leaving straight away. Felt unpleasant. I asked a minute after if i can cancel the order, but no -chief couldnt do that..)) As for pizza and salad I asked for takeaway bag. MAYBE THEY WILL LOOK AT THOSE RAW RUBBISH LOOKING LIKE MUSHROOMS AND APOLOGIZE - hoped my genuine soul.

Guess what? They packed my raw mushroom salad without any sense of regret and give me the full bill to pay. Who cares of a stupid polite tourist? She won't know what capricossa should consist of carrots and no mushroom mentioned in menu (no cooked no raw) and tomorrow there will be more stupid passer-by tourists. Disposable.

Overall - the takeaway went to the rubbish bin few meters away from this "glorious" cafe. Same as my money. Zero pleasure and no hospitality.

My experience isn't the guide for everyone, but if you ask me - I'd say - no, never go there.

Invest your time & money in those who appreciate and care about you as a client. And have a genuine gene to admit the mistake if made any. Afterall, with all the heist of earning money, you shouldn't forget about your soul. I'm a human being after all. Giving me raw mushrooms and pretending it is totally fine and charging me for it -it is just beyond the imaginable. But never forget. What goes around comes...

One of the worst restaurants you can try in Palermo..! At first he gives you the price of the dish (because it’s not mentioned in the menu), then after you finish he increases additional amounts and gives you stupid explanations.. He believes, as many sellers in Italy do, that if you are a foreigner and do not speak Italian, then you are just a stupid and rich tourist who can be easily exploited..! The truth is that I speak four languages, and I can easily understand what he is saying, even if I don’t speak Italian.. A simple spaghetti dish with only tomato sauce, in a mediocre restaurant, and very bad and disrespectful service.. Then the dish comes to you uncooked, and the tomato sauce has been heated in the microwave, and the cheese you requested is not brought to you until you beg for it more than once ..! I never...

We were hungry and decided to eat something here: the owner offered fresh tuna fish for 15 euro, my boyfriend took fried calamari because they did not have enough tuna fish. The tuna fish was decent, the calamari not very good, my boyfriend had stomach ache after,maybe fried with old oil. Price was OK for being in the center but they charge 2 euro per person for couvert.
