I do not believe there was a misunderstanding due to language differences, let me try and explain what happened:
1, We arrived and ask for a table for two, sat down, got the menu. One of your waiter (W-1) asked if we are ready with the order we asked for 2 more minutes. Very shortly another waiter (W0) asked if we are ready with the orders, this happened relatively fast within minutes. We needed a bit more time but there were no problems at all, at this pont.
We made our choices and asked a waitress (W1) to come and take our orders.
She asked another waitress (W2) to come and see us. At this point W2 looked at us become really upset and started to shook her head. Instead to come and see us she started running there and back to an empty table at the other end of the dining area.
Then W1 asked another waiter (W3) to come and see us, but he was interrupted by W2, who told him something, and then he did not want to come and see us either.
At this point quite a few waiters and waitresses were running there and back to the empty table mentioned above, we could feel the tension and that they are upset.
There were no language problems, it was their gestures towards us (W3 and W2)...
Finally a waitress (W4) came to take our orders (she was nice to us).
We wanted a nice romantic dinner at your place and although we had our orders, but W2 and W3 attitude towards us and the tension this caused within the staff started to grow on us and felt like we are not welcomed here.
We didn't want to stay in an atmosphere like this any longer, especially not on our honeymoon, therefore we told W4 what happened and that we are leaving.
At this point no one wanted to see us to solve the issue. Even W4 was understanding the situation what happened and did not want to solve or explain the situation, so we left.
All in all I do not think a 5 star experience should be like the above. I hope I could explain what happened, but if you have any questions please let me know.
I appreciate the offer to come and see you, and trying to solve the issue as per your comment below, maybe we will, when next time we are in Palermo.
All the best, Ferenc

Read morePizza was ok, but far from being the raving phenomenon the reviews point out. Dough was really good, but the pizzas in general on the heavy side, with flavors that were rather unbalanced. If you go, stay with a classic pizza and don't order the fancy gourmet ones. The swordfish caponata was rather bland.
The deco is cold and soulless, the lightning too bright and any trace of atmosphere is quickly washed away by the fast-food-esque setting of the tables. Rooms with no windows? Nice.
Service was ridiculous. We got a guy who was clearly neurotic about taking the order and coming to ask us if the pizza was ok. But non of this is a nice way. Non of this in a welcoming manner. At some point we felt policed in our eating, as we were talking among us about the aforementioned disappointing pizza and he kept "checking" on us from the other side of the room. Tall guy with the glasses needs to chill. This is not the equivalent of attentiveness. You'll know this if you ate in any other place in Palermo before here
The place is evidently catering to tourists, which is not a problem. But you'll find better pizza, more charming places and infinitely friendlier staff elsewhere in the city.
All in all it clearly has potential. Poor atmosphere is not that terrible if you don't compare it with all the other beautifully done places you'll see on your way there. But one bad server will ruin any good food.
The only good thing about our visit was Giorgio and his drinks. His skills behind and out od the bar (friendly, funny and passionate about his job) will quickly see him landing a better job in a better place, so pass by and have one of his salt-gin based mixes before he is...
Read moreWe’ve spent over a week in Palermo trying out top rated restaurants and this one definately tops the list. The place is new, and despite the location not being an obvious place for an outdoor seating, I think they really pulled it off. All the personell were really friendly and worked in sync. A bunch of different waiters passed by our table however it was clear that they all had slightly different roles and were really professional. Details like hygeine, nice plating and the glasses being pre-cooled with drinks were on par. Most importantly, the food was great. Everything we got was great. I don’t know what they did to the fries in the “Hot Specialities” appetizer, but somehow they even made these into something extra. A must try restaurant if...
