Literally one of the worst experiences ever. Everything went wrong right from the very beginning. We got there around 7 PM for a light dinner, two adults and two kids. We ordered a bottle of warm still water, pasta with cheese for a kid, salmon with fries, swordfish with side salad, sardine meatballs and a dessert. They got us a bottle of ice cold water about 10 mins later and then when I finally caught one of the waiters and asked him to replace it with warm one he said he previously didnt understand me ( which is right as they speak almost no English), and he asked me if i have opened it.........) Then about 15 minutes later we finally had the water. About 20 more minutes - and we finally had sardine meatballs and pasta. With NO cheese! I had to remind them to get us the cheese and they brought some cheapest parmesan in a can. Sardine balls were eatable but Im never ordering it again. We kept waiting and waiting.. saw waters come in with a few packs of potatoes ( it felt like they had no potatoes thats why we had to wait for the side fries). then about 25 mins later we were finally served the fish. Salmon was ok, not the best still but swardfish was just disgusting. Dry, tasteless and overcooked. They offered no oil not vinegar for what they called salad ( they obviously dont know what salad really is though) and i had to ask for it. Overall we spent over an hour just waiting there. They didnt even ask us if we were happy with it, they didnt seem to care at all. I felt the owners who were there as well werent really friendly and were rather rude with some other people. It was my first and only negative experience at the restaurant in Mondello and im never comign there again. Avoid. By the way, this place has ridiculously high rating on tr*p advisor. Dont believe that rating, its all fake. the site takes down every single bad review about that place thats how it got to be on top. Its the worst ever, I know what I am saying, I have been all over the...

We had difficulty finding the restaurant from Google maps. In the midst of my frustration, I noticed a restaurant with a buzzing dining room (not where Google maps said this was but, nearby) and decided to eat there bc it looked well-liked. It turned out to be L’angolo di Mondello. It was fairly full and we were asked if we had reservations, we did not, yet we were able to be seated for a table for 2. The greeting was nice and our order was taken with appropriate timing after looking over the menu. We sat on the patio which was a treat bc we were able to watch the chef prepare the octopus and shellfish for the guests. We ordered boiled octopus and fried squid to start and Ravioli with cream sauce and pasta with squid ink, raw shrimp and sea urchin and a bottle of white wine. The octopus and squid are house favorites and were the best I’ve had in Italy. The pasta and ravioli were cooked to perfection, Al dente. The ink, shrimp and urchin pasta tasted like the sea and was served hot with sesame bread to soak up the leftover sauce. The ravioli was creamy but not too fatty and stuffed proportionally. It was an excellent meal. The portion was plenty for two people. A box of Fresh oysters were delivered to the chef towards the end of our meal but we were so stuffed we couldn’t order more although it was tempting watching him shuck and prepare them immediately. If someone tells you not to eat here, they have been conditioned to...

My group visited here for lunch last week.

Upon being seated we asked for a bottle of the house white (we all understand what a house white means). Our server promptly came over introducing and almost opening what he described as “a very nice bottle”. My friend stopped him and asked the cost, to which he said 124€ and proceeded to say “only 28€ each!”

Foremost, there was not an extensive wine list, nor was there a bottle for 124€ listed at all. We asked for a house white which is obviously and very plainly the most basic bottle.

This was a complete attempt to scam us. This was pushy and just overall slimy behaviour.

Also, we came for fish, and again were told “no fish, get lobster!” As they wanted to upsell us on the lobster.

I would not return here or recommend it.

Overall the food was alright, this didn’t matter to us though, because nobody wants to...

One of the best seafood places we have ever been. Don’t be shy and ask for Gaspare (chef) he speaks English and he’s always making sure the customers are having a great experience. He’ll give you excellent suggestions from the menu and off the menu. Family owned restaurant with class. Mama Patrizia is at the register, papa Franco cooking on the main floor and Gaspare is the chef. What we order was absolutely spectacular. Fresh, flavorful, and excellent presentation. My favorite: smoked salmon with mandarin oil. My wife’s favorite: spaghetti vongole (clams). Thank you famiglia and Gaetano for giving an experience we will never forget!!!

We've spent 7 days in Mondello and this was by far the best meal of our holiday. Before I sat down I saw someone else ordering the busiate and thought it looked amazing so I would order the same, pasta cooked to perfection, fresh seafood and perfect seasoning. Staff was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. I would recommend to book a table in advance as there isn't much space and it is a busy restaurant even though location might not be the best comparing with others that are seafront; food is outstanding hence the queues of people that one can see constantly outside the restaurant! Thank you for the lovely evening!

Premessa...
