The cuisine was generally enjoyable, although the place itself left room for improvement.

Firstly, seating was limited, but fortunately, we found a spot. However, the price point was very steep. It was the most costly meal throughout our seven-day tour and, regrettably, didn't rank near the best in terms of taste, quality or overall dining experience.

One distinctive aspect was the restaurant's procurement of seafood directly from local fishermen, a process that occurred uncomfortably close to our table, the fisherman kept bending over to pick up the fish from his bucket so his rear was practically in my friends face when he was trying to eat and lasted a good 5 minutes minutes. This activity might have been better suited to a more secluded part of the premises.

Service was somewhat lacking. Despite the restaurant's modest size, waitstaff seemed scarce, limiting our interactions and leaving us feeling somewhat underserved. The atmosphere, while not unpleasant, was irregular due to frequent patron turnover.

Lastly, the ambiance could have been elevated with some music or a more compelling view as the locale didn't offer much visual interest.

In summary, while this restaurant provides a decent seafood experience, there are more rewarding dining options in...

⭐ 1 star — Horrifying Experience, No Accountability

We had a terrible experience at La Pedro’s in Mondello, Sicily. While dining with my 15-year-old cousin, a passerby driving by threw a bottle of water that splashed all over her face. She was soaked, startled, and very upset — it completely ruined our evening.

When we told the waiter and then the manager, they didn’t seem to care at all. They said they’d “look at the cameras” and “report it to the police,” but there was no sense of urgency or genuine concern. They didn’t offer an apology, any support, or even a small gesture like taking care of our bill. My cousin couldn’t even finish her meal because she was so shaken up.

Afterwards, we had to go to the police ourselves to make a report, because the restaurant clearly couldn’t be bothered. It’s shocking that such a popular place has so little regard for their guests’ well-being and safety.

I strongly caution anyone thinking of dining here: if something goes wrong, don’t expect them to care. They’re too busy riding their popularity to treat their patrons with basic respect and decency.

Extremely over priced food . The mussels were meh compared to the...

I really want to like this place but unfortunately they barely pay attention to you when you're ordering. We ended up getting a bottle of wine, an order of rigatoni tripase, the swordfish, and I order to see that just one fillet. The swordfish was okay Ive definitely had better. It just wasn't seasoned very well. The rigatoni was basically bruschetta over rigatoni. It was well cooked but needed some salt. My sea bass never came out and after about 15 minutes when I asked them about it they didn't even apologize and just brought it out. They brought out two fillets when I just wanted one. They also rushed it so the bread crumbs were burnt and the fish was undercooked. You would think they would just take it off the bill if it was that late. No apology no nothing just put it on the table and completely ignored us for the rest of the time. Absolutely terrible service. Then when I get my bill I find out they overcharged. Some type of extra service fee but then they took it off. Not worth dropping almost $100. Totally overpriced and not worth it. They're known for the spaghetti vongole so many just stick with that. I will be coming back here though just from the...

Trattoria da Piero is a great place to enjoy fresh seafood and traditional Sicilian cuisine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant is located in the heart of Mondello, just a short walk from the beach. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, including pasta with seafood, grilled fish, and meat dishes. I highly recommend the spaghetti alle vongole (spaghetti with clams) and the grilled octopus. The restaurant also has a good selection of Sicilian wines. The service at Trattoria da Piero wasn't very friendly when I visited it. Also because of the wind I had to fight with soil from potted flowers which was all over my pasta... The prices at Trattoria da Piero are very reasonable. You can get a delicious meal with wine for around €30 per person. Overall, I highly recommend Trattoria da Piero to anyone looking for a great seafood meal

I really don’t get all the good reviews… We went there for recommendation and we’re very disappointed. The antipasti were okay, we had shrimps in a sauce which was fine, but nothing like a 5 star rating. The primo was awful. The fish I wanted they didn’t have so they recommended the swordfish. Never had one but this one I didn’t know if I was eating chicken or fish …. Maybe it’s normal. The sauce was nothing special, nothing to be happy about to eat at your holiday. The other primo was the plate of three where all three pieces tasted very burned. The octopus had some Glibber stuff on it … looked very strange, tasted strange and was burned. We also had to wait long to order our second course. As we weren’t native speakers, nobody cared about hosting us … was very unsatisfying service. Two points for the okayish starter, the rest was a 1 star rating.
