Pacinotti's — Restaurant in Palermo

I spent a few days in Sicily, and on the night before I flew out, I came here for dinner at the suggestion of a friend. I came for the pistachio pasta, as their menu of over 20 pistachio dishes is their claim to fame. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! I got the Norma with eggplant and Parmesan. It didn’t look like a ton of pasta, but it was so filling that I was struggling to finish it all, but it was so delicious that I knew I had to. Disappointing experience overall We walked around 40 minutes to get to the restaurant, so we were really looking forward to it – but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The staff were quite rude, and when we sat under a fan (it was hot), we were asked to move.

The food was just okay. The carbonara was extremely salty, and the pistachio pasta with burrata came with a tiny burrata – not what you'd expect for the price. Also worth noting: there’s an extra €2 charge per dish for gluten-free options, and they don’t serve café americanos.

Wouldn’t go out of my way...

Ieri sera con una coppia di amici e prole siamo stati a cena in questo locale, avendo avuto anche la fortuna di trovare posto pur essendo sabato (ultimo tavolo disponibile). Lo stesso è composto da un accogliente sala interna ed un altrettanto accogliente veranda esterna.

Il menù è molto vasto e particolare, la cosa che salta subito all'occhio sono gli invitanti primi piatti proposti, anche perchè da quanto ho potuto capire la "pasta" è il loro punto forte, soprattutto quelli con ingrediente principale il pistacchio.

Alla fine dopo aver deciso, la nostra cena è stata così composta:

1 abbondante vaschetta di patatine fritte fresche

2 Tonnarelli freschi con zucchine e gambero rosso (i gamberi erano sia a crudo che cotti)

1 Tonnarello fresco alla bolognese

PANINI

1 Hamburger Cheese (Hamburger, cheddar, bacon e salsa BBQ)

1 Hamburger Siciliano (Hamburger, Tuma siciliana, pomodoro, rucola, scaglie di grana)

1 Hamburger Pacinotti's (Hamburger, stracciatella, crema di pistacchio, pomodoro, speck)

1 Panino Pacinotti's (Mortadella IGP Bologna, stracciatella, crema di pistacchio, pomodoro)

N.B. tutti i panini vengono accompagnati da patatine fritte fresche.

BEVANDE

TOT. 90€ (7 persone)

Tutto buonissimo dalla pasta ai panini, grazie al fatto che tutti gli ingredienti dal primo all'ultimo era di eccellente qualità. Buonissimi gli Hamburger ma soprattutto di grandezza superiore alla media che si trova negli altri locali.

Anche il servizio è stato celere e molto cortese.

Noi ci ritorneremo sicuramente, qundi mi sento di...
