SPINA BAR PALERMO — Restaurant in Palermo

We came specifically to this place at 1:20 am because it is indicated as open until 3 am and because we visited last time we were in Palermo and loved it. I don’t know what happened in the meantime. This time service was unfriendly, very weird looks upon entering, barely a greeting (we stood there for like 5 min looking around and smiling awkwardly at the server and bartender who were just staring), tables already put away inside. We asked if we could sit outside and they said yes, without much enthusiasm. We went to sit, didn’t get a menu nor was there a QR code on the table so we had to find it ourselves.

Started looking, a first server came to say we had to order inside, we said no worries and kept looking at the menu. Second server came 5min later and said they’re closing but we can drink at the bar (…?) We didn’t come to drink quickly standing up inside an empty bar that is closing, that makes no sense.

Sad to say this time around was extremely disappointing. I think updating hours would be a good start, otherwise saying you’re closing straight away would be a minimum instead of barely greeting people and then telling them they can sit outside just to tell them you’re...

Absolutely excellent drinks. Great hospitality from the staff. The equally great bartender was happy to provide us with ‘surprise’ cocktails from the brilliantly varied menu that was too difficult to choose from - sometimes you just have to ask the bartender to choose for you. He did not let us down!

The venue itself was lovely and definitely recommended for a decent drink when in Palermo! Will...

Caro proprietario, siccome non è possibile rispondere alla recensione, replico io che sono uno dei ragazzi che è stato trattato male. Innanzitutto le consiglio di mettersi d’accordo con lo staff in quanto non abbiamo violato nessuna regola, ma il tavolo è stato spostato dalla sua collega a cui ho gentilmente offerto aiuto. Lei, super arrogante e presuntuoso, è venuto a chiederci chi fosse stato e noi abbiamo spiegato la situazione. Inoltre abbiamo ordinato 7 bibite, 4 coca-cole, due birre ed 1 bottiglietta d’acqua, non “2 birre e 1 coca cola” come dice lei. Eravamo 9 e solo due persone non hanno ordinato ma se lo avesse fatto presente, avrebbero preso qualcosa anche loro due se era una problematica così rilevante. Ha mandato la sua collega mortificata a dire testuali parole “È un locale per chi beve alcol”, quindi le consiglio di levare gli analcolici dal menu se è un locale solo per chi beve alcolici, forse occorre fare qualche modifica 😉. Andando oltre la sua ipocrisia, non c’era nessuno ad aspettare, il locale era quasi vuoto se non per tre tavoli. Ma non si preoccupi, noi ci abbiamo solo guadagnato ad essere accolti cordialmente da un altro locale e lei invece ci ha solo perso....
