✨Stunning Views, Memorable Sunset, but Service Falls Short ✨
Seven Restaurant in Palermo is one of the city's most renowned skybars, offering a rare chance to enjoy breathtaking views from above. Since Palermo isn’t known for its tall buildings, this spot provides a unique opportunity to admire the city’s rooftops, churches with their iconic domes, and the sprawling cityscape. It’s the perfect setting for an unforgettable experience, especially if you’re lucky enough to catch a sunset as stunning as the one we saw—truly the most beautiful of my life.
However, there are a few things to be mindful of. First, make sure to book a table in advance. It’s important to note that if you reserve a table for dinner, you are expected to order a full meal. We were disappointed to learn that simply ordering desserts was not an option, even though we had booked for dinner time.
Unfortunately, our experience was marred by some issues with the service. Although it was raining during our visit, the staff seemed indifferent to the weather conditions. They didn’t offer us the option to move inside or provide umbrellas, and when I asked for something to dry off the wet chairs and table, I received strange looks instead of assistance.
While the ambiance and views are undoubtedly special, the prices reflect the exclusivity of the venue. Both the food and drinks are on the expensive side, but if you’re looking to create a memorable moment with someone you love, this place could be worth the splurge.
Overall, Seven Restaurant offers a one-of-a-kind experience with its panoramic views and romantic setting, but the service could definitely use some...
Read moreas many other reviewers say: come for the view, skip the food. I made a reservation several days in advance. When i arrived they did not have my reservation. I showed the hostess my confirmation and she tried to convince me that we are still in july not AUgust so come back next month. I had to show her on my phone that we are indeed inthe month of august. NO one apologies, but they declared they found me a seat. Water came fast, ordering dinner did not. After about 20 minutes a woman approached and said "so will you order or no" Strange as this was the only person to even ask me what I wanted to order. I did not find the menu anything special. my first course was to be over eggplant puree but they subbed mashed potatoes. It was very strange. Hot cold previously cooked octopus over hot mashed potatoes with a cold tomato sauce that had no traces of the other listed ingredients. I had a pasta too which was okay - only okay. When I asked if the pasta is made in house the reply was "kind of it is from frozen" It was to be eggplant, guanciale, basil, pine nuts and the pasta. Each of those ingredients were present this time but the eggplant is just bits of skin. the pictures of dishes posted from previous months look great - but I saw none of those dishes on tonight's menu. I did not eat even half of both dishes. You cannot leave a tip on the credit card. No one said goodbye or even acknowledged me leaving. I saw the waiter bring the bread platters back to the station to reuse bread from others' tables. I would think in the times of the corona this wouldn't be done. The wine and views were great - the only things worthy...

We had booked a table for 8:30 on the website, I didn’t get an email confirmation so I emailed them to confirm my booking.. no responce. The day before however the restaurant sent me a WhatsApp asking if I still wanted my reservation they sent this at 11:30 at night.
When we arrived on time they said, your tables not ready, wait over there. It was said rudely, without apology or offer of a drink while we wait, after 15 minutes of waiting and no update I had to ask how long. More the rudeness than the fact the table wasn’t ready was my issue here.
We sat down asked for some water immediately from the person who sat us down. 30 minutes later after no one brought us the water or tried to take any kind of order I had to ask someone else..
When we came to ordering I had asked if the first course my friend had ordered had cheese or not she said no, so I ordered it. It came with cheese. I said I couldn’t eat it, she asked if I would like it made without cheese, I said that’s ok I’ll miss this part of the meal as I don’t want to delay my friends but she didn’t like that and pushed me to have the food. It came after another 10 minutes, so not too bad I guess. I didn’t like it, but probably more my preference than bad food.
I had steak for my main, which was amazing and the best steak I may have ever had.
Overall just rude staff, exceptionally slow service. Average food, great steak.
Btw it was not super busy, I would say was around 65% of tables had...
