Signorvino Parma — Restaurant in Parma

Food was fine, but the experience was uncomfortable due to one fact. I had been drawn to this restaurant, because it offered (on prominent signs) a fixed-priced "businessmen's lunch". However, after I sat down, I was told by the manager that I do not qualify for this fixed price menu because he apparently pre-judged me NOT to be THE RIGHT TYPE OF BUSINESSMAN. AFTER EATING, I ASKED HIM WHY/HOW HE MADE SUCH A JUDGMENT, AND HE SAID the special menu WAS ONLY FOR PEOPLE ATTENDING A LOCAL CONFERENCES AT LOCAL HOTELS. I then told him that I am an artist, and I tend to my own business when in Parma. He was not impressed and again told me the lunch special was only for certain business people. Why????

It is certainly confusing that they advertise a lunch special that only certain people can qualify for, and that certain other people can be VISUALLY JUDGED to not have the proper qualifications,… And again I was never asked whether I was attending a local conference. I am a 70 year old man and I was not wearing a business suit. This is PREJUDICE.

I wonder what the PARMA authorities would have to say about this?? Is it legal or proper to exclude certain persons??

I was stuck with a €34 lunch bill for one plate of pasta, and...

I am so surprised! Unbelievable! Melissa is incredible, such good service that I felt at home. I came from Ukraine and we have pretty high standards for service, and when I came here, the interior caught my eye, very similar to the interior in my favorite restaurant in Odessa. All the guys from Staff are incredibly friendly, incredibly welcoming and I immediately have memories of my city. I am incredibly grateful to everyone from Staff. The guys from the kitchen, very tasty! The guys from the hall, this is great service! You are incredibly kind and this is not a fake smile, but a real one. This is incredibly nice! Also thanks for the playlist, it is very important for the atmosphere. Please, if the management of this place reads, give them an award! They really deserve it! Thank you very much, I will definitely come...

Esperienza insoddisfacente Prezzo: alto per quello che viene offerto, i taglieri hanno un prezzo esagerato nonostante la quantità scarsa e la qualità direi normale. Cibo: salumi OK, nulla da ridire su quelli.Di gnocchi fritti ne ho mangiati decisamente di migliori. Pizzettina (per tornare sul discorso del prezzo) che viene la bellezza di 8€ e per le dimensioni vi dico che non sfamerebbe nemmeno un bimbo di 10 anni (1/3 di quella che mangeresti in una qualsiasi pizzeria per lo stesso prezzo se non anche meno...) con un impasto vhe sembra uno di quelli che acquisti al supermercato per poi metterci il condimento sopra e un formaggio finto, che non sa di nulla. Abbiamo provato anche un tagliere vegetariano (anche questo con quantitativamente insoddisfacente) che comprendeva di un tegamino con un po' di verdure saltate in padella, queste devo ammettere che fossero buone (con carciofi, carote, cavolo viola e cavolfiore), una cremina a base di piselli (anche questa buona), 2 fettine di sfoglia con una frittata di una qualche verdure (anch'essa buona, anche se ne avrei messa di più...) e poi mi sono caduti con 2 ricottine di capra ACIDE, probabilmente conservate male. Secondi piatti nella media a livello qualitativo ma ripeto... non valgono il prezzo. Servizio che lascia a desiderare. A parte l'insistenza del personale sul chiederci ogni 2/3 minuti se avessimo deciso cosa mangiare (nonostante la sale fosse mezza vuota, dunque non capisco la fretta), poi aprono la bottiglia di vino, chiedono anche chi vuole assaggiare eppure mancano i calici sul tavolo... camerieri che ti sfiorano la testa nel portare via le varie cose, letteralmente mi sono dovuto piegare più volte verso il tavolo per evitare di dare fastidio io a loro, e non il contrario. Ultima cosa sul servizio, non spiegano i piatti, nemmeno quelli un pò più...
