Awful service. We gave this place two chances in one day and both times were a complete disappointment. In the morning, we came for breakfast – no one ever took our order, even though the waiter told us (in broken English) that he’d be right over. We waited for 15 minutes and eventually left.

In the evening we decided to try again and stopped by for a drink. A waitress came to our table, we ordered a Long Island, and then simply asked what kind of event was happening next to their bar. Instead of answering, she abruptly took the menu out of our hands and walked away without a word. She could have at least said she didn’t know. And we asked her in Italian!

From what i see in the reviews - a lot of people had problems with paying or waiting here - tbh i didn’t encounter any trouble. Went there twice, just to try some pistachio pasticceria. The first time we had some small donuts - i think they are called bombolini but not sure. Those were soooo good!!! Just filled (even over-filled) with pistachio cream and a very good pick-me up snack. Ero stato al Bar Riviera un anno fa con amici e avevo avuto un’ottima esperienza grazie ai prodotti di qualità e al personale gentile. Ieri, di passaggio a Pescara con la mia famiglia, ho deciso di tornarci, ma purtroppo l’accoglienza è stata ben diversa. Mentre mangiavamo e dialogavamo al tavolo serenamente, una cameriera ha trascinato rumorosamente una sedia per posizionarla al nostro tavolo in modo irruento, “un gesto incomprensibile e fuori luogo in quel momento”, tanto che ho istintivamente ritratto la gamba temendo di essere colpito. Quando le ho fatto notare il gesto poco garbato, ha risposto sarcasticamente: "Ti ho colpito la gamba?" E alla mia risposta “No, ma ci è mancato poco!” ella in maniera sgarbata e strafottente ha ribadito “E allora che problema c’è?” Alla cassa, mentre segnalavo l'accaduto, la cameriera è intervenuta in modo aggressivo, interrompendomi continuamente e ripetendo con tono ironico: "Ti ho colpito alla gamba? Ma ti ho colpito alla gamba?". Il ragazzo alla cassa, visibilmente imbarazzato, non solo non è stato in grado di gestire la situazione, ma a sua volta è stato sovrastato dall’arroganza e dall’aggressività della cameriera, che voleva a tutti i costi avere le sue ragioni. Considerato che tale comportamento aveva richiamato anche l’attenzione degli altri avventori in quel momento all’interno della sala, ho preferito terminare la questione lasciando il locale. Mi chiedo come sia possibile che il titolare o il responsabile del personale tollerino un simile atteggiamento nei confronti della clientela. Un’esperienza...
