Unique local place serving amazing food. Highly recommend.
Maps took me to the wrong side of the building. Small interior with some community tables and outdoor seating.
Admittedly, I was confused by the cafeteria style approach. Place settings, utensils, napkins, and cups are located at the front of the restaurant; grab those yourself and pick a seat! Help yourself to water, utilize the carafs, no limit, free, and refreshing!
Food was incredible! Apparently the menu changes, some staples you can count on but menu adapts to create a unique and exciting offering. You order and pick up your food at the counter. Dishes can be dropped off through the doorway left of the counter. The local pasta with pesto was my absolute favorite, very unique pasta only found in this region 😋
Staff and owner were very helpful and nice. Their English menu was located near the counter on the left. Enjoy!

Read moreSimple self service concept restaurant. There is no waitress, it means we order and take the food by ourselves. If we have finished the dining, we are requested to bring the plates etc back to the service counter. Keep the tables tidy. The location of the restaurant is in the city center, not far from the shopping street.
Many choice of appetizer, 1st menu (primi), 2nd menu (secondi), meat and vegetarian, dessert with reasonable price and portion. The restaurant also offers the 1st menu in a small portion with half price. The food i ordered was delicious (Pasta with broccoli and mussels). It was fresh cooked. If the food has been ready, the counter staff will inform us, we should take the food from the counter. Parmesan and bread are free of charge. There is no charge of copperto. The drinking water from the water dispenser is also for free.
Very friendly staff. Recommended to try if you...

I lived in Pisa for quite a few time, and I went more than once at numero undici. It is not a five star restaurant, and it is a sort of "self service" but the prices are low, the food is good, and the waiters and the owner are very nice.
Don't miss the homemade bread/focaccia, and ask marco for the brown one! Don't miss also the tiramisu (one of my favourites)
The meats are good, and the first dishes also... menu changes everyday, it depends on qhat the market offer, so don't be scared and try something new! and in case you re not sure, ask or a translation of the menu... and check what the people inside are eating....
(that's the best to...
