Pizzeria SM — Restaurant in Pisa

Quite as bad as it's cheap! Probably the cheapest pizza around, but frankly for italian standards it's quite terrible. Low quality oil, thin and uninspiring dough (impasto) and below average taste... It's extremely cheap (5 people can eat for 15 euros) but I would not consider eating here again!

If you have the time to scroll through negative reviews you will see than many like me found this place to be very cheap but low quality as well, so I'm in good company! The facts speak by themselves!

I'm glad the owner is very active on Google Maps reviews unlike many others, but I suggest him to focus on how to improve the quality of his products instead of singleing out the paying customers that take time to leave a review. I don't have anything personal against this place but as you can see most efforts are put towards making a good appearance and not towards making good Pizzas. That is probably why this shop is still standing after such a long time, sometimes good ads pay more...

Honestly, I don’t know why this place has good reviews. Okay, the prices aren’t so high - we spent 19€ for two. But our food was fat, greasy and with not a lot of taste. We didn’t enjoy it. My boyfriend ordered a formacce with mozarella and it wasn’t mozzarella. He felt bad after eating this(it can be a coincidence but we don’t know). The lavatory seat in the bathroom was broken. I also didn’t feel great because of the fetid homeless woman which was wandering around the street and spent most of the time next to the front door. I know it is not the restaurant’s fault but it influenced our visit.

EDIT: Actually he ate a formacce with cheese not a pizza. Sorry if it feels like discrediting a place, we just didnt enjoy our meals so much, maybe it’s because...

Staff was super kind and quick. Cheap €1.80 but pretty tasteless - nothing really noteworthy. I got a much better slice up the street. I rank this as 3rd tier pizza. 1 is Neapolitan, 2 is focaccia and then everything else. This was super crunchy pan pizza. Good crunch but...
