Dining at Pizzeria Il Borgo 21 has been a delightful experience! First and foremost, I was greeted by Imma and she gave me a table for one. She gave me the menu in a booklet which was written in Italian, however, there is a QR code to scan where you find the menu translated in more than 40 languages. Moving on, my order was taken by Farouk, I ordered a pizza with prosciutto and mushrooms, a coke zero and a tiramisu. The pizza came in pretty fast and it was delicious! The ingredients were super fresh and of high quality! The size of the pizza is also pretty big! I have to say that two persons can definitely share one! After finishing with my pizza, Farouk asked me if I had space for the tiramisu I told him earlier and of course I couldn't say no! The tiramisu came into a pretty bowl with a nice base below! It was super fresh, delicious and balanced which is key when it comes to tiramisu. At last, Emma's and Farouk's service was impeccable, their energy was brilliant and I really enjoyed both the food and our interaction! Overall, I would say Pizzeria il Borgo 21, is a place you should definitely try if you...
Read morePleasant kerbside restaurant & pizzeria in the centre of Pisa. Pleasant & cordial service, with the waiter bringing a large bowl of water for our dog before we even asked. A really great touch, thank you.
More of a snack for us rather than a full meal. A 4 cheese pizza which included gorgonzola plus a really nice plate of ricotta cheese & spinach ravioli with ragusa sauce. The pizza was really creamie and the ricotta cheese & spinach in the ravioli really complimented the ragusa sauce.
Accompanied by a weissbier and an Aperol Spritz. Our meal was accompanied by a small basket of bread. Our meal £30.97 or in Euros €36. Not too shabby 👍.
The service was good. There were several fans gently spraying water vapour to help keep customers cool. Nice touch in temperatures close to 30 degrees in the early evening sunshine 🌞. The service wasn't fast, but hey we were on holiday so it didn't need to be, we certainly weren't in a hurry. Relax, sit back and eat pizza 🍕 & 🍝...
Read moreWe went to Pizzeria il Borgo 21 for dinner whilst on holiday in Pisa, and it was a fantastic find. It is an unassuming restaurant, well-located yet also modestly priced, with great service and food.
English menus were available online, and service was quick and friendly. In particular, the waiter was very helpful when we asked for local wine recommendations, and it was also wonderful to hear from him about the chef, who had trained in pizza-making in Naples - and this certainly showed in the outstanding quality of the food!
The pizza was truly some of the best pizza I have ever had. It was light and crispy with fresh toppings, and not greasy at all. Additionally, at the end of the meal when we were full but had some pizza left over, the waiter very happily bagged the remaining slices for us to take away.
I highly recommend Pizzeria il Borgo 21. It is an inviting and charming restaurant with incredible food, and is well worth a visit, especially for...
