The guy stationed at the frozen drink machines at the front of the restaurant is rude, aggressive and ignorant. Sitting on his phone (watching what I only assume was TikTok🙄) while I’m trying to get his attention to actually purchase from him and he actually does make eye contact with me and still proceeds to go back to his “paid leisure time”. I come around to his side and said “excuse me, is it self service?” He still ignored me so my partner just approached the machines and then the guy FINALLY decided to give us attention and aggressively says “NO! What you want?!” Immediately my partner and I say to him “don’t worry about it, bye” and the man proceeds to make a scene in the restaurant after we are already well away from the venue and starts yelling at me “calm down lady!” “go away then!!” “What’s your problem?!” I told him he was rude so he just responded with the same behaviour.

Imagine being a relatively sizeable male and yelling at a woman less than half your size in front of 50 odd people in and out of your restaurant 👀
Who acts like that at a place of work that mainly relies on tourists spending money there? You clearly set up shop at the Ruins for a reason, wake up.
Added is a photo I have taken from someone else’s negative review because it specifically pertains to the man pictured, clearly has a...
Read moreJust look at the reviews and everyone will immediately realize what a horrible place this is! Avoid this restaurant! We have never encountered such an arrogant behaviour from a restaurant manager or who the old person was in our lives. Since it was our first time in Italy, we had every intention of having a meal, trying a real Italian pizza or some Italian specialty, but what followed was truly blatant, in a negative way, of course. We walked up to the restaurant, looked at the menu, and were approached by an old man who straight up inappropriately shoved the menu into our hands and told us what was on the menu. He immediately asked us where we were from, which was suspicious to us. When we sat down at our table (there were three of us in total), a young waitress came over and we ordered pizza. She then went to this old gentleman and told him our order. He immediately came over and said that the minimum we could have was two pizzas and three drinks, so we got up and left. What is that???!!! This is an incredibly arrogant attitude to strangers and their guests who wanted to try local food and spend money with them. The waiter looked at us with a huge disdain as we left and at the end as we were leaving he said a very cheesy sentence - Ciao Ceco! This totally inappropriate behaviour should have resulted in the closure of this pub, or at the very least the sacking of this old and arrogant man....
Read moreI wish we had checked the reviews before going into this restaurant. Then we might have gone to another place that is at least good.
The staff are unengaging and slow. There is no go in their pace. When we asked if we could have a table for four people, a young guy answered by shrugging his shoulders and pointing angrily at a table that was covered in crumbs. They don't clear the tables fast enough so when new guests sit down they have other people's dishes on the tables.
It takes time to get the food, we had to wait at least 45 minutes from the time we ordered. Once we got the food, it tastes nothing. Me and my cousin each got a burger but it was so dry because it doesn't contain any dressing. My mom took a pasta carbonara and it tasted almost nothing and it didn't even look good. I really could have made better pasta myself and I'm not even a picky person. To end this long review, do yourself a favor and don't come here. It's not worth the time...
