We stopped in twice. First for lunch prior to touring the ruins and immediately following to cool down with a drink. The first experience was great; the food came surprisingly quickly and was exceptional. We ordered the cheese and ham, a pizza, a salad, bolognese, a bowl of green olives, a water and two cokes. The bill was 100 euro but had a few errors on it (duplicate charges) - once corrected the bill was 86 euro (check your receipt!). The second experience immediately after the tour was horrible. The servers were not interested in seating us for “drinks only” and made a point to show their disdain by refusing to stop to take our order. We were overheated from being in the sun and we’re looking for a reprieve but by the time we got our drinks we had to leave and were not able to drink them. We tried to pay the bill at the table but were told “drinks only tables must pay inside”. The bill for a bottle of water, two juices and a lemon cello spritz was 36 euro. First visit would have been five stars, second would be 1 so I averaged it out at 3.

We visited this restaurant during our trip to Italy in July. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The food was terrible, and it’s clear they take tourists for fools. We asked for water with lemon and were charged 7 euros for it. My daughter asked for water with syrup, and they brought her plain water with a single strawberry inside — again, 7 euros. The food itself was just as bad. Even the tiramisu, which is usually a safe bet, was awful. We are disappointed about the way a lot of Italian restaurants We’re disappointed to see that many restaurants in Italy charge higher prices for tourists. And yet, it’s a country we truly love. We have great affection for the Italian people, but we find this mindset unfortunate.

I never expected much because let's face it, its right outside the entrance to the ruins of Pompeii. So I expected it to be pretty average and overpriced. But i had a whole hour before the train back to Naples and a hungry daughter. As it stands, it wasn't that expensive and the food was quite good. I had the ceasar salad and it was fresh, the bolognese was ok too. The service was fast and pretty friendly. €42 for the lunch, a water and a coke. And they had lemon in the coke which is old stool and a nice touch. Rhe music is a bit loud which I didnt like too much and its pretty frentic, that i didnt mind. They run a well oiled machine here - probably prints money but not bad for what it is.

We decided to eat here because it was convenient and there was a vegan item listed on the menu. The manager LIED to us that the food was vegan and caused me to get sick for the rest of the night.

Before ordering, we mentioned to our waiter that we were vegan and they seemed confused. We pointed to the only vegan item on the menu and said "no dairy or meat" to clarify our needs.

The food that came out to us had real cheese. The item on the menu didn't even have cheese listed as an ingredient (which confused me further). I asked to speak with a manager and pointed out that we ordered a vegan dish and the manager said, "Oh, show me where it is on the menu then." When I pointed it out she said, "Well, it is vegan cheese." This reaction made it seem like they didn't even know they had vegan food on the menu. Then, as we continued to eat our meal another manager was behind us speaking over a phone in what seemed like a distressed tone, and must have said the word vegan like 50 times. Weird, right?

My partner and I have been vegan for over 10 years and have never seen vegan cheese like this, that browns, melts, and stretches like real cheese. I ate half of it convincing myself that the vegan cheese in Italy must be really good... Why would they lie to us? But I got sick later. The kind of sick you get from eating dairy when you haven't...

Awful experience. Our tour guide recommended it for a good and quick lunch and it was terrible. One of the others in my tour group has celiac disease and ordered the gluten free pizza. It came out cold and uncooked. She sent it back to be recooked and it came back hot and soggy, fresh out of the microwave. The regular pizzas looked good when they started to come out but our doubts about the quality based on the gluten free pizza were confirmed once we received ours. My margherita pizza came out plenty hot, but no traces of basil. The sauce was ok taste wise, but there was way too much and it was fairly watery making the entire pizza soggy. Not only was it soggy, but the crust was actually burnt and charred underneath, so the combination of those flavors and the soggy texture was truly repulsive. I had no hopes of getting my money back and finding another place since we were on a tight schedule, so I ended up pulling the crust off from the middle, cutting off burnt areas and dipping it in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Luckily out tour manager was great and got most of our money back for us after we told her how bad our experience was. I would recommend going anywhere else when visiting Pompeii. If I were to go back, I'd just get an orange or two at the fresh...

TLDR: Absolute catastrophe ahead. First of all, my friends and I, a party of seven, were treated with complete ignorance by the staff. We specifically told them we only had an hour to spare, but they couldn't have cared less about our time constraints.

One of my friends got their food after just five minutes. However, the rest of us had to wait for another 35 more minutes, only to see the table next to us, who ordered later, get the pizzas we had originally ordered. With only ten minutes remaining of our hour, we finally got the pizzas that the other table had ordered. We just accepted them since we didn't have any time left and we needed to eat something.

Not only were the pizzas poorly timed, but they were also really bad. They were watery, mushy, and very small. To top it all off, the contents just slipped off when you tried to take a bite. It was a complete disaster.

But the worst part? When we tried to pay, we were informed that we couldn't pay separately. One of us had to pay the whopping 120€ bill for six pizzas, six waters, one coke, and one pasta. It was just another frustrating experience to end our terrible visit.

I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone - avoid it...
