We visited this restaurant as part of a tour while in Pompeii from a cruise, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire trip. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Marco, who we later learned is the owner. He explained that the place is quite new (just a few months old) and invited us to explore the vineyard before dining. Walking among the grapevines, tomatoes, figs, lavender, rosemary, and chili peppers felt surreal. Marco even picked fresh figs for us on the spot, easily the sweetest, most flavorful figs we’ve ever had! Along the way, we enjoyed a refreshing glass of extra dry Vesuvio sparkling white wine, which made the experience even more special. After the vineyard tour, we sat down beneath the grapevines themselves, with clusters of grapes hanging above, such a beautiful and unforgettable setting to enjoy a meal. We were served a traditional Italian antipasto platter with cured meats, cheeses, grilled vegetables, bruschetta, and fresh bread, paired with a white wine rooted in the region’s history. My favorites were the prosciutto, grilled eggplant, and parmigiano Reggiano. By this point, we were already quite full, but the best was still to come. Next came spaghetti with Vesuvian cherry tomatoes and basil, served with a glass of Campania red wine. This was hands down one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had anywhere in Italy, simple yet unforgettable. Dessert was a soft and moist limoncello baba, the perfect sweet ending. Since I was curious about ancient Roman dining, Marco was kind enough to let me try Mulsum (from another package option), a honey sweetened wine that was popular in Pompeii and throughout the Roman Empire. It tasted incredible and added a unique historical touch to the whole experience. The package we booked was €60 per person, but they also offer à la carte options if you prefer, and the vineyard area can easily host large groups. Marco also shared fascinating stories about his background, including having served at the White House during President Bill Clinton’s time, and his work with the historical society of Pompeii to recreate Roman inspired meals. This review isn’t sponsored as we paid for everything ourselves, but we genuinely left amazed by the food, wine, hospitality, and passion that Marco and his team put into this experience. If you’re visiting Pompeii, don’t miss this place. We’ll definitely be back when we return to the region. Thank you for your...
Read moreIf you're in Pompeii, tired of the fast-food options near tourist sites, and craving a meal that truly represents southern Italian standards in a beautiful setting, the restaurant is absolutely the place for you. It's not just a meal—it's an unforgettable experience that awakens all your senses against a backdrop of millennia of history. This dishes were nothing short of spectacular. Handmade pasta is cooked to perfection, al dente, perfectly coated in a rich sauce made from fresh eggplants. We chose the steak with tomatos for our main. The beef astonishingly tender and juicy, flaking apart effortlessly with a fork. The minimal seasoning maximized the ingredient's natural flavor, embodying the essence of Italian cuisine. Their "Tiramisu" is an absolute must-try. It ranks among the finest I've ever tasted in Italy. The bitter coffee, sweet mascarpone, and subtle bitterness of cocoa powder achieve perfect harmony. Light as a cloud with just the right hint of wine, it provided a sweet finale to our dinner. For the service, the Italian Hospitality That Makes You Feel Right at Home! From the maître d' to the sommelier, every staff member is professional and friendly. They gladly explain the menu and offer thoughtful recommendations based on your preferences. They even took us experience their farm gadern! The courtyard dining experience is uniquely romantic and serene. Fresh ingredients, precise cooking, authentic yet creative flavors. AND it just a short walk from the...
Read moreWow wow wow. My friend and I were deliberating what to do after a very hot morning tour in Pompeii, when I stumbled across this place. Before our trip I had read about the vineyards around Mt. Vesuvius but this place really is the garden of eden. We actually very nearly missed it, tucked away as it is off the main street down to the station, but as we followed the path towards the vineyard we found a beautifully laid out terrace with exceptional views over to Capri and beyond. Marco and his team have created something wonderful here - you can picnic on long tables in the vineyard, enjoy a wine paired set menu or dine a la carte if you prefer. We opted for the set menu, there are two - I opted for the "2000-year old lunch in Pompeii" menu and my friend the "classic Neopolitan" menu. Both menus were fantastic and the wine pairings are thoughtfully sourced and pair well with each course. After our meal Marco took time to talk with us about his work with the archeologists - uncovering the mysteries of the local food of the past which inspires the menus at the restaurant, he also have us a tour of the garden, where he grows many of the ingredients used in the dishes. The afternoon spent here was the highlight of our holiday, we were so well looked after and came away understanding so much more about the local area. Thank you Marco and the team for creating such a wonderful...
