Osteria Nonna Cherubina — Restaurant in Pompei

Hidden in a garden at the end of a gravel lane that almost backs up to the ruins of Pompeii, a short 8-10 minute walk from Pompey Scavi station, we were the first guests and they opened early for us. We had our food in minutes and the almond encrusted catch of the day (bream) was fantastic. It came with way too much food! And it was all good. They served ice cold water, we sat under lemon trees in their cool shade and were waited on by excellent and attentive servers. It was a delicious and cheap meal. Under 40 euros for two with wine.
