Old Wild West Fast - Pompei Scavi — Restaurant in Pompei

Ok so I wasn't sure what to expect going in. It's a Western themed fast food burger place... In Italy. Ok, sure, let's see how Italians do it.

I have to say, the decor was a bit cheesy, but really fun. Butch Cassidy had scratched his name into the wall. There is a cask of tequila sitting up on a shelf. A pair of lever action cowboy rifles hang on the wall. The door handles to enter the place are 6 shooters. Seeing how an outsider sees the American West.... Well pretty accurate, in my opinion.

The menu is pretty straight forward... Burgers and fries. Good selection of burgers, one or two patties, bacon, different toppings, etc. All with fun themed names. I ordered a double American burger... Had two patties and bacon, on an amazing bun and I don't know what kind of perfectly melted cheese. It was, without resorting to hyperbole, one of the best burgers I've had in any restaurant, in the States or anywhere else.

Would do 3.5 if an option. The salad is pretty good for the area aside from chicken that has breadcrumbs and wrecks it. The burger is better than the mc donalds but not that special. The service is self service despite the table. You get a vibrator and then go and collect it once it goes off. You need to pay for sauce and then you have to clean up after yourself there is no service other than the food getting cooked the rest you do yourself. The choice is limited. Arrived at 2 50pm told by counter assistant they were closed at 3pm I asked was it alrgt if we ordered and he wasn't impressed that we did order . Food arrived quick Food was delicious , really enjoyed . Its a shame that we felt under pressure to eat quick and be out the door so they can go on their break .
