Ristorante Le Arcate - Ristorante di Pesce - Pizzeria — Restaurant in Porto Cesareo

Walking past many restaurants in the area we got attracted by their competitive prices and by their first courses on the menu. The restaurant was packed on that day with a waiting list to be accommodated, so we decided to book for the next day.

Appetizer: The fried meat appetizers were decent but consisted mostly of fried vegetables. The octopus was well presented, but way to salted. Too bad because the taste of the "sauce" was good. Main course: The Linguine alle vongole(clams) was a pasta with oil with little to nothing of clams and flavour of it. The spaghetti with mix of seafood had not much taste of fish but at least was not over salted.

The woman that served has was clearly not pleased to be there. I work in a restaurant too and understand the frustration from working during peak summer season but you're not excused of getting upset when taking the order if you don't know how to take one, especially in a big group.

Visited June 2025 — post-filming dinner in Porto Cesareo.

We’ve been coming to Le Arcate for years, and it’s always a highlight. This visit was no different. After a full day shooting video, we arrived later in the evening and were seated right away on the terrace.

The staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. The food was exactly what we needed — generous portions, full of flavour, and beautifully prepared. The wine was excellent, and the tiramisu was genuinely one of the best I’ve had. We ended the night with a round of amaro — the perfect close to a great meal.

Buonasera, premetto che sono il primo a lavorare a contatto con la clientela, ma un servizio del genere è imbarazzante. Cameriera scorbutica, (chiesto una frittura di moscardini e calamari), mi è stato risposto che la frittura era solo quella presente sul menù con pesce di paranza, indovinate un po'? Nella paranza erano compresi i moscardini. È stato risposto alla mia compagna alla recensione che ha pubblicato che "vi abbiamo fatto un piacere ad accettare la vostra prenotazione di 9 pp per il 15/08". Beh la cena è stata ben pagata nonostante era una porcheria . In 9 pp abbiamo mangiato male, in 9! Si al momento della comanda abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà, cosa risolta in 3 minuti. Non diciamo cose senza senso. Abito a Milano, di conti salati ne abbiamo pagati ma l'amaro viene sempre offerto, sappiamo che è a discrezione del ristoratore, però se li offrite dopo che ve ne chiediamo 8, dite che potete darcene 6... Per me un posto così funziona solamente su turisti come noi. Era ultima serata. Per quanto riguarda nello specifico il cibo.. Tutto il sugo era salato.. Orecchiette al sugo e polpo a pignata, lo abbiamo fatto presente ad un'altra cameriera ha risposto che loro sale non ne usano, pensavo di portargliene un pacco io, ma non serve. Linguine alle vongole che erano spaghetti all'olio con vongole.
