I went looking for a local non tourist restaurant and this is in my opinion the best place to come to eat in Portoferraia. Its not right off a main street, but a short walk up a small road.

First time I came here I had Orecchiette Pasta Alla Pescatora. It had shrimp, mussels, clams and some calamari with red sauce. This was a fabulous seafood pasta dish! My wife ordered the Orecchiette Shrimp and Zucchini which I thought was so amazing that I had to come back the next day to eat this. We also ordered fried calamari which was fabulous! When we came back my wife ordered the Catch of the Day (Compare Fish) with side dish and it was the softest and tastiest fish! They bring table-side and remove the bones from fish before serving. We also had cherry tomato bruschetta that was toasted and seasoned delicious! Service is amazing and friendly. They have a small store inside the restaurant that you can purchase their pasta. The ambiance was very nice!
