Pizza Pie — Restaurant in Radda in Chianti

The pizzas offered here are big enough to feed 2-3 adult persons and they taste really good. Each kind of pizza has same price and You can make a combination of two kinds on one pizza. The pizza contained big portion of fresh toppings. Place is maybe not very fancy, but it is very recommended for people looking for good local food at reasonable cost. It is located at the main street of Radda. There are tables inside and outside. It is a must, to eat a pizza here for all pizza fans! We were in Pizza Pie twice during our stay in Tuscany in 2019 and we had same positive impressions each time. They have also some pastas, which looked really tasty, but we did...

Yes, I am in Italy again and went to one of my favorites but only for lunch this time, 'Pizza Pie' in Radda in Chianti and....nothing changed after not being here for three years (last time 2018) it was like time had stood still... The same family served us and even the food was the same no big menu changes. We had 1 big family pizza Margeritha / ansjovis and capers, 1 plate of penne with tomatosauce which was delicious and Tuscan liver with roasted bread which I also love to eat. 2 beers and a bottle of water made it complete. Terrible. Absolutely terrible pizza. I honestly thought that they had a 'bad dough day', as I saw all the plates with unfinished pizzas go back to the kitchen, with the 'doggie bag' option requested (probably out of politeness or pity). But then looked at some of the pictures on google, and they all looked the same.

The dough was dry, brittle and for the most part burnt. It had no taste. I am very surprised my the high rating of this place. I really hope they need to get their act together, because what I had tonight was a joke.

Atmosphere, and service are ok, but I cannot give more than 1 star because the pizza was just...
