Ristorante Vignale — Restaurant in Radda in Chianti

TOURIST TRAP. DO NOT EAT HERE. I have been in Italy for over 2 weeks and this is by far the worst meal I've had.

Starter was cold and overly salty, T-bone steak was very tough, dry, and tasteless, pasta was dry and tasteless; seemed like it was frozen and reheated. Spinach was also tasteless. At first I thought there was something wrong with my taste buds, but everyone at the table also felt the same.

On top of all that, this place is expensive and the staff are unfriendly (not sure if it's because we aren't Italian or if that's just how they are). Any other restaurant in Radda is a better choice...

INCREDIBLE. I never take the time to give a review but I had to! This restaurant deserves all the stars. Very reactive / caring staff, we felt like we stepped into a very high end restaurant. We took the porterhouse beef and their own Chianti Classico wine and were delighted. The meat was wonderful (I’ve been in Tuscany +5 times and this was up to my expectations). Very underrated place. The staff is doing an amazing job (10/17 tables busy at 8pm), very professional. They really listened to the feedback from the last years and took it on. Ordered the Florentine steak (1.1kg) - it came on a hot, sizzling plate and got cut at the table. Listen to the waiter and his recommendation about what to eat - they know bets what they are good at.
