Read moreMy husband wanted to try a sandwich at Slab’s, the restaurant we had dinner at last week in the pedestrian walk. The owner/manager had been so nice to us and his staff superb! So he ordered their rustico sandwich with fries and I ordered the Galatian octopus appetizer and a side of eggplant, onions and zucchini. The octopus had been so good, I couldn’t help but order it again! His gargantuan sandwich arrived perfectly prepared! Steaming hot Ragusa sausage bits served with chard, covered with Saffron cheese and topped with their crusty bread! Note to self - this sandwich is plenty enough for two people and was beyond delicious! The chef was personally attentive to us and was pleased with the praises we heaped on him! The waitress was personable and friendly, allowing us time to fully enjoy their beautiful establishment. She made us feel that we were the only concern she had! We thanked them all as we left and promised to return! I would venture to say that this welcoming Sicilian hospitality cannot be rivaled anywhere...

Everything was amazing and Faultless, Starting from their excellent quality food,like for example their homemade focaccia bread with 24H of leavening and 75% hydration, wich makes simply the best bread ever had. But the drinks were not different,quality wise like for example a brilliant local gin, made with an infusion of pachino tomatoes,delicious,It's a must try!
