Divine. Excellent food, attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere make this café - that dates back to the late '20s - a precious gem in the heart of the city. Breakfast, lunch, ice-cream, aperitivo: you name it. You'll find a unique selection of traditional sicilian sweet and savory treats made with passion since 1928. I am always amazed by their crunchy "cannolo", the aphrodisiac "torta savoia" and their wide choice of "arancini" - my favourite. As a Sicilian living abroad, it is my very first mandatory stop every time I come back home for the holidays. Caffé Italia will enchant you, I highly recommend going if...

Situated next to the Cathedral of San Giovanni Battista Caffè Italia is in a beautiful location and is a perfect place to stop for lunch if you are visiting Ragusa. The staff are welcoming, helpful and friendly. It is popular with the local people of Ragusa, which is always a good sign, and so gets very busy at lunchtime but it nice and peaceful sitting outside overlooking the piazza. The food is very good and there is plenty of choice and of course there is the delicious ice cream and cakes. I definitely recommend Caffè Italia to anyone...

Beautiful caffè and pasticceria. There are tavola calda options, so one can enjoy a full meal, as well as snacks, such as arancini, cipolline, panini. Alongside this, there is a large display of Sicilian cakes- all of which were fabulous. I wohld thoroughly reccomend. The caffè also sells food gifts, like artisinal chocolate bars, wines, and almond sweets.

Thought it would be a tourist trap but I was wrong. Solid place in a beautiful location with lovely service. The price is great (3.20euros for an affogato and latte). Their chocolate ice cream was very good and from Modica (known for its traditional way of making chocolate). They had many options for gifts and sweets, and some savoury ones. I would go back

What a nice surprise! Normally nobody would expect such a cafeteria close to a main tourist attraction of Ragusa. But this one is an exception! Very good typically sicilian sweets with an extraordinary cost effectiveness! You will also find some other specialities from sicily like vine from A. Occhipinti, donnafugata and other magnificient vineyards.
