We were in this restaurant today with family. The lady who served, was very rude. She did not care about us, she was mean, she left us to sit down for 15min in empty restaurant and when she came to the table she was totaly unintrestwd and nonprofessional and rude and all the time she was rolling her eyes. So we did not even try food or drinks. First smile from her was when i say that we will not order anything and stand up and left the buliding. She was ambaresed in front of everybody. We thought that we will enjoy, so it turns diferent. 😆 and we think she has problem with children (they were totaly kind, busy with drowing and obeying). When we ask to order an aple juice and peach juice she jusr rolled her eyes and said: allora, I dont have this juices-i just have lemon and orange(and thismisnt problem at all, problem is how she did it). So her ignorant aperance brought us to a another restaurant...
Read moreI have lost count of how many times I’ve been to this place. I never get tired of these dishes. Luigi’s cooking is outstanding and makes you feel like you never want to leave Ragusa. Rita is so warm, friendly, and polite. Luigi, every once in a while comes out of the kitchen to deliver his delicious dishes and great costumers with his big and sincere smile. I also got to meet Pepe (their cute little dog 😍)
The place is small and that’s exactly why you feel like home. The table cloth and lighting fixtures you’ll take you back to nonna’s house.
It is hard to nominate just one dish as “the best”. Tagliatelle ai funghi is certainly on my top 5. Since I am also a ravioli’s lover, the ravioli di ricotta con burro e salvia can never disappoint. And for dessert, biancomangiare con fragola!!!!
I can assure you’ll not gonna leave Luigi’s...
Read moreWe asked our hotel for an authentic Sicilian dinner and they made us reservations here. Told us the dress was casual. It is a cute little restaurant with AMAZING FOOD. Did not feel rushed at all. It actually felt as if we were at an old friends house having dinner with the host checking on us periodically. I can say enough about Trattoria da Luigi. The pasta was simple yet we are still talking about how good it was the next day. The lady was very lovely, she gave us 2 deserts because we stacked the plates for her. I tried to pay for them and she insisted they were a gift/surprise. If you are in Ragusa, be sure to make this a destination for dinner for at least one night if not all of...
