Rocco e i suoi fratelli — Restaurant in Rapallo

I went in and asked to sit down and the hostess was kind enough to accommodate us two. We then decided we did not like what the menu had to offer as it was a large seafood menu and neither one if us like seafood. So we decided to leave. As we were walking out, some rude dude came over and started lambasting me in frony of other customers saying I occupied his table and he lost other customers. I was terribly embarrassed and humiliated. All we did was sit down for barely one minute, probably 30 seconds amd decided to leave. There was no one else waiting and there at least 6 to 7 tables empty. The guy was very thuggish and seemed to be having a bad day. I am from the US and found everyone in Rapallo to be overly nice. But this thug has just lost any future recommendation o would have given him. Nor will I ever go back to that place again. He needs to learn manners and how to treat people. Looking at this dude, I don't think this is thw first time he's done...

Totally overpriced for the food we received. The only saving grace was the quality of the seafood, but we had it fried in gluten free flour which was disappointing as a low quality gluten free was used. The side dish for the mixed fried seafood tasted strange and we didn’t eat it. The we also had the breadcrumbed steak and that was totally disappointing and we were surprised that a 4.5 star rated restaurant was serving such a low quality of steak- completely chewy and not prepared the way steak should be prepared. Our waiter (shorter guy wearing a hat) was also speaking over us and not listening to what we were saying. We also complained about the steak and he asked us how we would like to handle the situation and then immediately walked off without hearing out our answer. And then he was no where to be seen after that incident. We were definitely not happy with our experience and we will most definitely never be ordering breadcrumbed...

CHECK YOUR BILL!! Husband and I ate here tonight. Delightful atmosphere but slow on the service. I had the swordfish pasta, husband had the vegetable soup and grilled octopus. While my pasta was taste, and husband's grilled octopus was very good, the vegetable soup was lacking n flavour. The reason for the strong heading is because when we received our bill, we noted things on their we never had (water and expresso) and we'd been over charged for the octopus (we had appetizer octopus and they charged us for a maiin course octopus) This represented $17€ in up charges. They did fix our bill immediately but very disappointed we had this type of discrepancy to begin with. For a restaurant with a little better than average rating, you would hope you could have confidence they'd charge...
